Hello to all. I had my gastric bypass 3 1/2 years ago. I have lost 125lbs. I still need to lose another 75-100 lbs. I have gotten myself off track and don't know how to get myself on track again. I am hungry all the time and give in to my cravings for sweets and junk food. Unfortunately sugar does not make me dump so I continue to eat it. I need some advice on how to get myself back on track and kickstart my body to start losing again. I have not lost any weight in over a year. Any ideas and encouragement are appreciated. I have even considered joining something like nutrisytem or optifast to control my portions. Please let me know what you think. Thanks and have a good day. Mary Hauer open RNY 1-21-03

Mary , I oftten counsel others with this advice . RE-start your protein . If you are not counting your protein intake - start this again . Protein will jump start your motabolism . Then .. you will need to up your water intake .. this too will increase your motab .. then .. restart your exersise program .. Move to Loose !! What I do is for portion control.. I try to use small plates .. this keeps me from overeating .. but for me I know better to overeat as I had the RNY with the stalistic band .. so If I over eat .. I yomit .. really bad .. Get rid of the junk food .. do it asap .. stock your shelves with good high protein .. low carb foods .. if you want to try it .. go get the South Beach Diet plan .. this is what I live by and have been able to maintain my weight now for 6 months .. Before you go out and pay for the diet systems .. try these methods .. or if you want .. email me and we can go over your lifestyle plan ( Hates the word diet ) Take care .. and I hope this helps you . I agree with tinkerbell. You can do it. Just move to loose and keep your head high and believe in yourself like you did the day you had surgery Good Luck and keep us posted on your progress Kelly
