September social get together?

I will need Tia and Terry to chime in here, but with tomorrow being September 1 already, I think we need to start getting the word out about our September meet and greet! If I remember correctly the date is Sunday, September 10 ... for CRABS !!!! in the Essex/Middle River area. Tia, please chime in with the important details! I will be going from the Annapolis area so if there's anyone who would like to car/truck pool with me I'll be happy to drive. Hugs, Mo

Wow, Mo, you're right! It's almost September, and hence, almost CHRISTMAS!!!!! Thought I'd throw that in!!! Okay, the location is Blue Fins Bar & Grille, right at the Back River Bridge, next to the waste treatment plant!!! Don't worry, no stinkies! Their website is www.bluefinsrocks.com, for directions, but they don't have a menu listed. I know they have other food, and I know for a fact that their MD crab soup is good. The price for AUCE crabs, corn and crab soup is $24.99. The crabs are good and heavy as a rule. Now, since this place gets busy sometimes, I'd like to know by Thursday, September 7 who is going to go so I can call them and reserve a table. Last time, it was so crowded that Mom & I had to sit in a little alcove off the bar. I figured around 1-2? Let me know what you all think! I'm easy, but not cheap! I think that's everything! Tia

Awwww, wish I could make it but I will only be 3 days post-op and don't think that the crabs...or the car ride would be a good idea. lol 7 days and counting!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to attend the next one, when I'm a looser! I hope you guys have a lot of fun! Take Care, Debbie

Debbie - Actually, no, the crabs wouldn't be a good idea, and I'm sure they don't taste good pureed!!! As for the car ride, I had lap rny and rode to Target the day after I came home and was walking around the mall a day after that. So don't count out the car ride part, you might be surprised. I think I'm going to have to pass as well considering I just had my surgery on 8/29/06. Maybe next time.
