Happy Friday Eve!
GM Everyone -
Actually, for Mo, it's Friday - lucky lady! Hope everyone's well - day 2 of no to minimal tooth pain!! YAY!!!
Please allow a doting aunt to brag - as you know, school started on Monday in Baltimore County, and for Kaity & Brian. Last year, they both did so well, with Kaity getting straight A's and Brian getting A's & B's - he tells me he has to get rid of those B's this year in second grade! Kaity called me last night to proudly tell me that she has been placed in Gifted & Talented Reading AND Math!!!! She's in the 5th grade, and has been placed at 6-7th grade levels. I AM SO PROUD OF THEM!
Oops, gotta run, just got a pop-up that they're shutting the server down in 5 for about 10!
Talk soon,
Tia
Hey there Tia
I was in the middle of typing a happy FriPAY eve message earlier and had to kill it because I needed to go reboot the call management server.
You are right this is MY Friday for a change. I'm so excited. I haven't had a 'true' day off since I came back from vacation on May 31. I've been out of the office a couple of times, but it was work related.
Tonight is dancing night too! I am determined to master at least one dance tonight .. maybe one of the 'easy' ones AS IF there are any easy ones ...
Not a whole lot on the schedule today. I'm sure there will be things that pop up. I need to order a couple of printers so I have to do some research and figure out what I NEED so I can tell IT what to order for me. For an 'accountant' I have a very eclectic (is that the right word) job. It's a little bit of everything.
You have a lot to be proud of with Kaity and Brian! ****ep trying to spell Brian Brain .. )
Talk to ya later.
Hugs & smoochies, Mo
Hey Mo -
Yes, it's time it was your FriPAY!!!! I hope you and Mr. Mo and the boys have a good trip - although I'm sorry to say they're calling for lots of rain tomorrow. Actually, in honor of the coming rain/fall, I'm trying to break in a new pair of fall shoes. I've been wearing dressy sandals since May, and my tootsies are saying, "WTH?!!" Shoes or no shoes, I simply can't dance. I love music, but dancing, any type, is beyond me. I always thought I didn't have any rhythm because I was fat, now I'm sad to say it's just because I'm Tia! Have a dance for me, though!
Yep, eclectic is the right word - I love that word - eclectic, eclectic, eclectic! Okay, calm down, Tia!
You know, on my last birthday, which was the last I'll have - all future ones will be anniversaries of my 39th - Gary & the kids sent me flowers, "To the best Tia in the world - Love, Gary, Kaity & BRAIN!!!" OMG! It was soooo funny, but if I had showed the card to Brian, he would've been sooo po'd!!! He HATES when he thinks people are laughing at him - I try to tell him they're not laughing at him, they're laughing with him, and his response is, "But I'm NOT laughing!" Gotta love him! Yes, you're right, I am sooo proud of all they've accomplished. I keep trying to impress on Kaity since she's older that the possibilities are endless for her. Personally, I'm hoping she'll do something with her life that will make it possible for Tia to retire early!!!! Brian has decided that he wants to be a "cop" when he grows up. For some reason, I don't like the word "cop," just a quirk of mine, but it seems disrespectful somehow. Anyway, once I told him that if he wanted to be a Trooper, he'd have to go to the Academy (school) for six months, he decided he just wanted to be a "regular cop" so he doesn't have to go to school. He hates school! He's such a good student, he'd just rather be playing! They make me laugh every day and add so much joy to my life, even when I'm yelling, "Stop! Get away from each other! Give ME the controller! Put down the sword!!"
Okay, well, obviously, we're back up! Gotta get some work done! Have a great trip and a Happy Labor Day!!!
Tia
Ummmmmmmmmmmm.. there is no such thing as a 'regular' cop .. they ALL have to go to the (or an) academy of some sort for training but there's no reason to burst Brian's balloon just yet.
I love my open shoes/sandals but I'm starting to be anxious to wear some closed shoes for a change now too. I do wear my red boots on thursday night for line dancing .. and sometimes the blue ones (which are slightly more coordinated than the red ones but not nearly as 'sharp' looking) ..
xoxox, Mo
Well, yes, you're right, but our academy is live-in, M-F, and I don't think his little brain could work that out yet!!! Plus, I'm sure he'll change his mind a zillion times before then. Although maybe not - I recently attended the graduation of one of our former Cadets who had wanted to be a Trooper since he was 2!!! He even forced his Mom to make him a Trooper uniform which he faithfully wore everywhere. You gotta admire that type of dedication!
Happy Dancing!!!
Tia
Good Morning Tia and Everybody!
I wish I was off tomorrow, but alas...nope. I plan to get into work early so that I can leave fairly early. I'm hoping it'll be a quiet day on the range. I'm actually hoping we won't have to row in and row home tomorrow based on the weather forecast. I know we need the rain, but why can't it be a nice gentle rain? Today is normal (kinda busy). I have a monthly customer review this afternoon. I have nothing to brag about today. Other than...several months ago I purchased a blouse & overblouse that I wound up returning because it was way too big. Several weeks later, I saw the same blouse set on the clearance rack. It called to me because it was my favorite color (purple, yes Tia...purple!). I got it at wal-mart it is their dressy line "George" brand. As we all know, their stuff is cut kinda small (at least I've found). Well, back to my story...I saw the blouse set on the clearance rack and they had a 16W. At that time I was wearing a 18/20/22 depending on the cut. I decided to buy it anyway, the type of blouse/overblouse that it is you can get away with wearing it loose so I figured if I lost too much weight before I could wear it again in the fall, it would be okay (both pieces are long sleeved, winter blouses). So I'm getting dressed this morning and I've been kinda cold in my office so I figured I could get away with wearing something a little heavier and I decided "what the heck, I'll try it on". Guess what? It fit!! I guess now that I think about it, it is something to brag about.
Although the scale hasn't moved in two months (other than to go back and forth), I know I'm losing fat/inches in my midsection - which is really the only place I have left to lose excess weight. Everywhere else all I have left is excess skin
Have a great day everybody! I'm not sure I'll get back in here before tomorrow.
Take Care,
Terry
Hey T -
Yes, brag away! Purple and a 16W - life is good! What more could you want? Yes, I know, someone to share it with! I know how you feel! But we're so proud of you, you Purple Princess!!! Yes, I've found some of Wally's stuff is cut small, and I'm also getting kind of ticked that they don't update the Plus Section like they do their other sections - gonna have to email somebody about that!!!
Hope you have a great day! Wear your mucklucks!!!
Tia
