Come one Come all

Well I know the Crofton Support group has been canceled or put on hold. So another OH member and I have talked and said it would be great to start one up here. So she got some info and I spoked to her today and told her I would organize it and everything. So I went to the Library today and signed a contract. The first meeting will be September 21st at 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. I hope 2 hours would be fine. If you know of anyone that is thinking of having it and want to come they are more than welcomed. I hope many of you can make it. Please email me at [email protected] if you can attend. Other dates and information will be discussed at the meeting. Anyone that has ideas for the meetings please let me know I am opened to suggestions about topics and stuff. Light refreshments will be served. The Meeting will be at the Crofton Branch Library off of Reidel Road in Crofton. If you need the address please let me know. ( I have it sitting in my car . Hope to see you there. Kelly Wheeler

I hope you can make it but it isnt set in stone that it will be thursday nights. I want to discuss with everyone what nights would be best but the library only had Sep 21st and dec 21st open so I took them and I dont know what we will do for oct and nov. They said we could sit at the tables in the back as long as were not loud. So hopefully you can make it even if not for the whole 2 hours. But they do there 2007 schedule on Oct 2nd and so I want to book the good days Ya know. lol. Well hope to see you there if not I will keep you posted and get some suggestions from you too what nights are good. And keep everyones opinion in mind. Have a good evening Kelly

Thanks Kelly! I see you got my fax. I'm planning on attending. Tomorrow is my last day at work before my surgery, Sep 5. Today, three co-worker who have all been through the journey made sure to have lunch w/me. They wanted me to be able to ask questions, etc before my big day. One had her WLS in April of this year, one I think about two years ago and one approx three years ago. Two have had their "plastics" and showed off their battle scars. All three really helped me know what to expect not only the day of surgery but in the years to come. It REALLY helps to talk to people in different stages of the journey. I fully support this new group. You know I'll help any way I can. Just in case they read this ... THANK YOU Janet, Marsha, and Gwen!! You all look wonderful and I can't wait to join the "sisterhood". ...janet

Thanks for all the work Kelly. I hope I can remember to be there. I get back in town late Monday the 18th. Now all I have to do is try and remember exactly where that dang library is. I've travelled on Reidel numerous times. Hope to see all there, Robin D.

I know exactly where the library is and I will be there. I have been looking for a support group in my area or at least somwhat near by. I live in Shady Side but I work in Cheverly so I'll just come from work and hang out outside till it starts. I'm excited. I think a support group is just what I need. I am pre-op with a surgery date of Oct. 13th. I have weight to lose before surgery and any pre-op help will be appreciated. See you there. Margie

Kelly hi, I'll see you there...I know where Reidel Rd is so I'm sure i can find the library if I get on it. I shoot pool on Thursday nights but I guess I can be late a few times that's shy I have 7 other players on my team. See you on the 21st at around 6pm..depending on traffic flow from VA.
