It's Tuesday again ...

so you know what that means .... Nothing matters but the weekend from a Tuesday point of view ... I know it makes no more sense today than it did last week or the week before .. or the week before that .. but it's Tuesday! I have an 'interesting' day ahead of me. I've got a photo assignment of sorts .. we have a department head who has a 'personal' firetruck and today he's bringing it to give his staff rides (I think that is what is going on). Anyway, I've been asked to be the official photographer. I'm a bit concerned about the weather. It was a bit sprinkly when I came in this a.m. and the forecast is for showers throughout the day No other real plans here, the day will fall into place I am sure. Staff meeting at 10 a.m. I need to get a computer order together so I'll probably be walking around the office trying to figure out what is going on with who and work on the order. Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday and it's everything you want/need it to be! Hugs, Mo

Hey Moie (and everyone else) - I'm back to work, so is it really Monday for me? Dad is doing well, experiencing pain that I don't think he anticipated. Um...hello? They just gave you a whole new knee two weeks ago! He really is doing amazingly good for just 2 weeks out, and it just gonna have to deal with it for a while. At least it's better than it was 2 weeks ago! His attitude's been okay - while I was off, I tried to wait on him a little, because I know what it's like being confined. At least he can drive now. Mom & I enjoyed my being home - when I wasn't *****y and in pain, we caught up on some DVD's and perused some cookbooks. I LOVE to cook - it's my way of expressing my love for my family (corny, I know!). But my brother is soooo appreciative, and he eats anything!! Called the dentist on Friday, got some more happy pills, and he told me to come see him on Monday. So yesterday, he said it's healing well, and that it's just residual pain (no kidding?!!). Still in pain this morning, more like an ache that extends up my jaw to my ear and just throbs! OTC Tylenol is going to be it for me today! Mo, a personally owned firetruck? How cool is that? Hope the weather holds out for you! Brian would be ecstatic to see that - although he didn't want to see them during Firemen's Week in OC - go figure! I had a good week with them, just took extra painkillers!!!!hehehehe! Since you're taking orders, I'd like a laptop with all the latest bells and whistles, please!!! Hope everyone is doing well!!! Catch me up on all the latest!!! We need to plan September's outing! I'm still voting for crabs! Tia

Hey Tia Welcome back!!! Sorry you are still in pain. Hope the OTC stuff helps and that you bounce back quick!! He actually has TWO personally owned firetrucks. One is an open cab Mack engine and the other is a LaFrance 100 ft ladder truck. Believe me .. Mr Mo (retired volunteer ff) is extremely jealous!!! We definitely do need to plan for September. I'm with you on the Crabs. I know we usually do Sundays, but just a note, I can't on Saturday 9/30. (We have tickets for the Nats-Mets game at RFK that night). I know it will be hard to get a date everyone can make, so if I'm the lone uhoh, then plan without me and I'll catch up the next time. (My October is lookin' pretty ugly too between upgrades, vacation, then Chicago) Hugs, Mo

Hey Mo - Much as I hate my job, I have to admit that a routine feels kind of good. Going to the gym tonight to work off some of this pent-up frustration. I forgot Mr. Mo was a ff - a ff and postal employee - what more could you want in a man? Okay, so Terry is thinking that we had something planned for 9/10, I was thinking it was 9/24, but either day is good for me. Saturdays are just usually not good because even though I'm "scheduled" to have the kids on alternating Saturdays, I just never know. October, my 2nd fave month, is looking okay for me, but obviously not for you and Terry. We'll see, let's get September out of the way first! Have a great day, Tia

Either date works for me, but actually Sept 10 is better JUST in case we decide at the last minute to go to Dover 9/22-24 for NASCAR. Hugs, Mo

Hey Stranger! Glad to hear the tooth is doing better and your Dad is improving I know exactly what you mean about cooking showing love for the family - I'm the exact same way. Do ya think maybe that's the "fat" gene? hehe I thought we were going for crabs somewhere on September 10th? Was my head in the clouds? I'm game but I don't know where to suggest so I'll go with the flow as long as I can get a crabcake or shrimp at wherever we choose since I don't "do" crabs. I hope we do get together in September because October is looking kinda iffy for me - I've got something going every weekend already. How did the kids make out at the first day of school yesterday? Hugs, T

Hey girl - Well, the tooth is better in that it's gone, I just can't stand the ache - all the way up and into my ear!! Oh, well, now I have an excuse for biting off someone's head!!! Oh, yes, I cannon-balled into the fat end of the gene pool!!!! Good thing my brother is willing to eat anything, because I've gotten quite creative since wls!!! Okay, I thought we said 9/24, but 9/10 works for me - Blue Fins, anyone? Mom & I went there right before Dad's surgery and had some good crabs. They also have others things for those of you who don't do crabs (horrors!!!) My babies had a wonderful first day - they both wore new outfits that I had bought them, and called me last night to tell me that their best friends were in their classes. But that's it, just one friend apiece in their classes. I'm thinking, although I'm not sure, that it's because they're in "higher" classes, both having done extremely well all last year. But they're excited so it's a good thing! I took them to Nacho Mama's on Saturday and Jeepers on Friday to celebrate back to school, so they had a blast!! Jeepers is like Chuck E. Cheese on crack, and since Tia was on Tylenol with codeine, it was an experience!!!! Hey, guess what? My flowers FINALLY kicked the bucket over the weekend! I was amazed that they lasted this long - longer than most relationships I've had!!!!! Hope everything's well with you! Say hi to Mom!! Tia

Hey Mo! I know all about that Tuesday point of view...it's next Tuesday (after the holiday) where the point of view is gonna suck...hehe. That's cool about the firetruck! It's kinda sprinkly here too, but hasn't been a shower or anything yet so your rain may hold out. Have a great day! Terry

Hey Terry I'm going to be a 'draggin' puppy next Tuesday for sure. We are going camping for the weekend (if ya can call camping in a 40 ft motorhome camping .. ). Mr Mo and I are both off on Friday so we will probably be able to get on the road by 1 (we theorectically can't check in until 3, so there's no point in rushing .. it's only an hour's drive). I am hoping for weather nice enough to lounge by the pool and just veg for 3 days. Looks like our staff meeting is postponed til tomorrow so that I can do this favor with the photography for the other department. I have a wonderful and understanding boss ... please remind me of that when she and I are arguing about something the next time!!! Hugs, Mo

Hello Mo I enjoy reading your post. It really brighten my day to know someone is up early and on this site. Also, it sounds like you work at a cool place, fire truck rides and all... What company you work for, if you don't mind me asking. Victoria
