Last night when I went to bed I was 244, this moring when I woke up I was 248, can some one tell me what is going on. I had gastric bypass on July 12, 2006. I was 285 lost 19 pounds before surgery, only lost between 26-30 after surgery. Should I have lost more weight then this.

Hi Annetta. As far as the difference in your weight from last night to this AM, it is a good practice to only weigh once a week, at the same time each week. I do admit that I like to weigh a few more times a week than that. Still I officially go by the weight that I get on my official day. Our weight can fluxuate throughout the day, mine can be up to 5 lbs diff esp just before my cycle. For the amount of weight you have lost since surgery, that is really good. You will find that you will have "stalls" from time to time. I tend to lose 4-5 lbs a week for two weeks and then nothing for two weeks or maybe just 1-2 lbs in those two weeks. I don't know why but this happens a lot with many of us. Stick to the pouch rules and the rules your Dr. & nutritionist gave you and you will be fine. Hang in there. Be encouraged. Hugs, Robin
