Good morning Maryland peeps We've made it to Wednesday and just thing .. after lunch the rest of the week is downhill Just another busy day for me. We are getting some 'hand me down' furniture from another department which is getting new furniture. I got everything all ready yesterday because the furniture was supposed to be here and well .. it didn't .. so I have hopes for today. I have an empty office that is waiting for a desk so that someone can move in there. She came in this a.m. (having left 1/2 day yesterday) and walked by my door going to scope her new space and low and behold it's STILL empty. And I need to work with the department laptop and figure out what my boss needs to do to use it from home to access the network. Her personal system at home is STILL windows 95 so there is no way she is going to communicate with the office. And a conference call with our software vendor this afternoon. Our CSR is on my list at the moment. We have a new one and he's not acknowledged any of my emails in the last couple of weeks and I am NOT amused. That is NOT customer service!!! OOOPs .. duty calls .. have to go check on the furniture. Have a super day! Hugs, Mo

Good morning! Well, this day has started off with a bomb! My boss has a meeting that I set up for him. He schedules a call (without telling me) for the same time. Then I was stupid and asked if another of his collegues had mentioned he was attending the meeting. Of course he quickly let me know that he doesn't know and it's not his responsibility to know that. It's mine!!! I swear, I don't know if I'll ever get past making these stupid remarks around him. He must really think that I am a screwup. (this isn't the first time that he has commented about how he doesn't want to be bothered with those details.) Oh well. The day will go on and most likely this won't become my permanent home so I'll get to go somewhere else in the department. ON A GOOD NOTE...My hubby paid me a really good compliment last night. You gotta understand that he isn't very vocal about his feelings. I usually have to ask him if I look nice or I have to drag his opinions out of him. He always tells me he loves me, I don't have to ask for that. So anyway, he told me last night that I have got to get some new clothes. I asked him if he was tired of me talking about how big my clothes are. He said "no, those pants you had on yesterday were way too big. You just can't wear those anymore." I was so touched by his comment because he just doesn't say stuff like that without prompting. It made me feel really good that he is noticing. Mo, have fun getting the furniture arranged like you like it. Have a great day y'all. Hugs, Robni

Hi Robin Doesn't your boss have a calendar he's responsible for checking for himself ? Wasn't the meeting on the calendar? Don't let him push you around. There is such a thing as being respectful to superiors, but that goes both ways too. It sounds like this man is on a power trip and gets off on making you feel stupid. If you are his assistant and responsible for setting up his calendar, then he has NO business setting up things on his own. You do have the responsibility to advise him of things on the schedule but he should also be grown up enough to look at his own damn schedule. Ok, off the soapbox here! No furniture yet. The stuff that is coming to us is piled up in the hallway on the 4th floor .. we just need the facility guys to show up to move it. I wi**** could have been done yesterday when they were here, now we are at their mercy as to when they show up again. Hugs, Mo

Hey Mo. I'm thinking this would be a totally boss way to get in some exercise. Have to get a few co-workers pitch in and do some heavy lifting! Nah, not really. Enjoying a great Wednesday here. Back to back days at the gym and fixed a yummy spinach/ground turkey quesadilla last night using a low carb wrap. Had enough left over for three more meals. Good times.

Oh Daniel .. you are a funny man The furniture movers showed up a little before noon and other than bringing the wrong desk to the first floor, we got things under control and pretty much done by 12:30. I still have to go up to the 3rd floor and hook up computer equipment but I don't HAVE to do that today. The quesadilla thingy sounds good. I don't have such good luck with eating wraps though .. a few bites and I am done and just eat the insides. Hugs, Mo
