7 September!!!!!!!!!!!! I have my date, I have my date! My fiance gets surgery on his back on August 30th and it's my turn for gastric a little over a week later. Good news is that we will be able to recover together and have time off together. I am in my friend's wedding on October 6th, I hope that I loose some weight before then, how exciting is that??? lol At first I was going to get it changed to a later date because my honey can't drive me and stay with me, but then I decided that my Mom will probably enjoy being there with me anyway, a lot more than he would. lol I called her and she said it was no problem at all. I have some girlfriends that would help out with transporation if I needed it as well. Well, I'm excited and I can't wait! I talked to a lady at the bar the other day who had surgery in November at St. Agnes and was happy as can be, said she would do it over again in a heart beat. She looked awesome and so happy. She gave me a lot of encouragement as well, just like this web site. Whoo hoo!!!!! I love this web site & all of you guys! ~*Debbie*~

Congrats... that's so exciting!! Honestly, while you're in the hospital (I was @ St. Agnes also - who is your surgeon Singh or Averbach?) all you want to do is sleep. You need to get up and WALK WALK WALK as much as possible but sleep is key. I don't even remember being in the hospital much. LOL

I'm having my surgery at Sinai, a friend had it as St. Agnes though, and I've heard good things from both. Thanks you guys for all of your support, it's wonderful having people to relate to!!!! And positive ones at that! You go!
