Headache post-op?

Hello all! I started with a migraine headache about 36 hours post-op...and I still have it! DVR seems to think that it is the anestesia and that it will go away, I trust him...but wow, I still have it. I have tried liquid tylenol and it doesn't help the headache, the only thing that helps is the roxicet elixer, but that makes me so sleepy. I don't want to miss out on getting my liquids in or walking because I am drowsy due to the pain meds. Anyone experience this? Thanks for everything so far, you all have been great!

Hi Leslie, Congratulations on making it to the losing side! I don't personally have any experience with the headache/anesthesia issue, but have heard of it happening. Is the headache on the top of your head or down by the neck? You might want to try in an icepac****bag. Not sure if it'll help but it couldn't hurt to try it. Here's to a speedy recovery for you Take Care, Terry

Oh my, I hope that you get rid of that head ache completely and don't have to take too much more meds for it. Have you had a massage? May be you could get someone to rub your shoulders/head/neck...that usually takes some of the stress away and even if it doesn't take it away completely, it will feel good! Good luck, we are routing for you!!! Debbie

How are you feeling now, has your headache went away at all? Just concerned and wanted to make sure you are getting better! Debbie
