Hey Tia! Congrats on not snacking after dinner. I know it's a hard thing to do! Anyway, here's my food plan for the day: AM - two cups of hot tea b - protein shake and carb control yogurt l - Pure protein bar, yogurt, and a lil cooked squash s - probably another protein bar or maybe some oatmeal d - dinner at my sister's and she ALWAYS serves baked chicken and salad. I'll probably throw in a s/f pudding or popsickel for dessert. No food after dinner! Vits - hopefully, I'll remember to take them today - totally forgot yesterday! liquids - 24 oz already down will shoot for another 60 or so exercise - planning about 30 minutes of cardio followed by upper body weights Have a great weekend!

Hi Teresa... I am glad that all sounds well. I was just at DVR on Wednesday with my Dad. He got his date...9/26/06. Nervous but he will do fine. Anyway...the reason for no snacking after dinner is because of caloric intake. Generally a snack will be about 200 calories depending on what you eat. If you have already reached your threshold for the day...you are going to go over by say 200 calories. At this point in the game being a year out...calories are going to start counting. He is trying to get you out of the habit. With that being said...I snack after dinner. Unfortunately...I try not to but I do. Just make wise choices on the snack is my best advice. I know that you will. Take care and I am reading away...don't always have the time to respond but Anna is in her swing...Talk to you soon! Faye

Thanks Faye! Good to hear from you. You know, the last time I questioned Sloane about calories, and told her what I was eating, she said something to the effect of, "I think you're fine." Never really a definitive number - do you know? That would help, although I do, for the most part, try to make protein-wise choices. It's not ALL junk!!! Anyway, thanks, and I'll talk to you soon. Tell Miss Anna I said: ;oljf098098lfjmou8rururururjroijaw-0ofas\f]f~! Teresa

I will tell Anna you said the above...although I don't know how to pronounce it! From what I know...you should be between 1200 to 1500 calories at this point. Obviously it has to go by your BMR (basal metabolism rate) and the amount of calories that it will take to maintain your weight. A great resource that I have found unbelievably help full is www.thinnerself.com Go and check it out. It calculates everything out and the guy who did it is unbelievable. Hope this helps...have a great weekend!! Faye

Sorry to be a bother, but I am apparently blonde today! I did the calculations and it said that my BMR is 1811 and the calories to maintain should be 2173. So what is this telling me? Obviously, I understand the 1200-1500 calories, but the rest.... Thank you again, you WLS Goddess, you!!! Teresa

What it is saying is...if you eat under 2173 you will lose weight! BMR is stating that your body burns that amount of calories a day just to function and stay alive. Anna is up...sorry so short but I think you get the jist!

I thought I heard them police sierens last night when I ate toooooo much of a dark chocolate bar. Oh my confession is good for the soul. Mind you I don't do that often. Weighed in at Weigh****chers - lost 5 more pounds . Trying hard to stay on track. Too much training this week - exercise routine was in the toilet. Gotta get that new school schedule worked out. Keep holding us accountable. Love it . Debra
