Ever heard of this doctor

Hi, I just found out that I will probably be having my surgery with Dr.David Cantor, has anyone ever heard of him? He works out of Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring. That is who Kaiser deals with in my area. Thanks

Yes I've heard of him before. He was great but his office staff will probably irritate you. I switched from him after having all of the run around and I too have Kaiser and I went with Dr. Paul Lin and he works out of GW hospital and he is the Chief of Surgery and my dealings with his staff was painless and smooth. I have a co-worker whom was approved the same day as me which was in late may.. I have had my surgery and she's still waiting.

Check the name of the doctor again. I believe the surgeon you're referring to is Brian Cantor. Dr. Cantor first came to this area as an associate of Dr. Barry Greene. When he left Dr. Greene's practice (not for any negative issues relating to his surgical skills), he went to Kaiser, and currently does lap-RNY surgery out of Holy Cross Hospital. I haven't seen him in a while, but from everything I've heard from persons who had their surgery w/Dr. Cantor, they've had nothing but rave reviews about him. I remember him to be a very sweet guy, very much up on the latest in techniques and procedures for WLS. Good luck!
