New to MD

Hey Y'all, I'm glad to see the MD board is pretty active!! I am moving to MD in a week and I'm hoping to find some WLS friends in the area. Sweetie and I have a condo in Frederick.. anyone live near Frederick?? With love, Em

Hi Em, Welcome to MD (a little early) I've seen your postings on the main board. I'm about an hour away from Frederick (closer to Baltimore). I'm not sure if there is anybody out that way. I believe Rae Smiles is in Mt. Airy (that's about 15 minutes east of Frederick). Felicia W is in Germantown, which is south of Frederick, but I'm not exactly sure how far. Steve C (I think I have his nic correct) is in Frostburg which is further west than Frederick (not sure, maybe 45 minutes west). We're having monthly get togethers in different parts of the state. Today we're getting together at a huge regional mall (Arundel Mills) which is down by me in Anne Arundel County. Maybe you'll be able to join us for future get togethers. I believe we're going to get together at a crab house in September, not sure where that's going to be. Tia (Teresa E) is spearheading that one. Hey Em - Welcome (officially) to Maryland and the coming-alive Maryland board. Please feel free to join in anytime! Both on the boards and our get-togethers. You and I have "spoken" over the last couple months on the main board, and I'm happy to have you here locally! I live in Middle River (eastern Baltimore County), which is about an hour away from Frederick (up 695 to 70), so we're not too far away. Have you recovered from your go-kart incident? Hopefully, with no lasting problems. Well, anyway, welcome and keep an eye out for get-togethers! Teresa

Hi Em. Glad to see you on the MD board. Welcome. Our family is still new to MD. We moved here a year ago from CA. We live in Columbia, which is about 20 minutes SW of downtown Baltimore. At least that's from what I can tell. I am still learning where the different cities are located. I am told we are about 45 min from Frederick.
