This might be to personal

I was just wondering how long you waited before you were intimate with your spouse? I am 3 1/2 weeks out and 35 pounds down and feeling very confident again. Please help if you can. Thanks Kelly W

Hi Kelly, I didn't have this issue, but I've been told that if you have had LAP RNY that you can NEVER have sex again Hahaha, just kidding! Actually, from what I've heard, it's all a matter of when you feel up to it and not to over-do it (as with anything after surgery). I think after 3 1/2 weeks with no complications the coast is probably clear. HTH Take Care, Terry

Kelly, lots of folks have asked this question....I am almost 2.5 years out....I can tell you that my husband and I couldn't wait much more than a week, and I had open...but....there are many degrees of sex....obviously nothing too rowdy was possible...but very nice just the same. I say go for it...if you start to hurt, change your position or be more gentle. RAE
