Whatcha' Eating?
Morning all -
Ran around like crazy yesterday, so I didn't guzzle like I normally do, and I think the scale knows it this morning. I really need to STOP weighing myself every day - it's making me !!!
Here's today's menu:
AH - 8 oz. coffee/8 oz. skim milk
B - Kashi Creamy Vanilla hot cereal (Hey Terry, I found it at the Gucci Giant in Pikesville - YUM-O!!!), w/8 oz. skim milk and blueberries
5 - 16 oz. bottles of water/CL before lunch
L - Sauteed shrimp w/Greek seasoning, maters, cukes & Greek yogurt
S - If I have one, I have Greek yogurt & blueberries
5 - 16 oz. bottles of water/CL after lunch
D - shrimp cake & cukes - I sauteed the shrimp, chopped them up fine and mixed them with Old Bay Crab Cake Classic mix, mayo & broiled them - a little salty, I think next time, I'll just boil the shrimp without Old Bay, because there's Old Bay in the mix
S - If I have one, probably popcorn
Hope everyone is keeping hydrated in this heat!! It's too hot to cook!!!
Take care,
Tia
Oh, Tia! I was thinking about you and Terry on Sunday when I was looking at the Giant sale flyer. I think the Kashi hot cereal is on sale at Giant this week.
Working on my iced coffee/protein drink now
need to make a pot of hot coffee so I don't feel deprived
will have a SB meal replacement bar for a snack about 10 a.m. probably
Lunch is iffy ... have a meeting at 11 that I am hoping turns into a lunch out, otherwise I will probably dash around the corner for mexican .. taco salad maybe ...
afternoon ... sunflower seeds
dinner .. have a pot roast going to be ready about 6:00 or 6:30
will work my 4 to 6 bottles of water in during the course of the day.
Hugs, Mo
Hey Mo -
OMG! That stuff is GOOD!!!! Kashi has another type of hot cereal that doesn't have as much protein. I got the stuff that Terri recommended. And my newfound love is blueberries, which I got at Trader Joe's. I'm telling ya, I'm so tired of having to run to 15 different stores to get what I need. We need to open a WLS-friendly store that has everything we need! I like the Gucci Giant in Pikesville - I mean, where else could you find women in fur coats and jean????
I put roast in the crockpot yesterday morning around 6:30, and because the day was so crazy, I didn't get home until around 7, only to find that my Dad hadn't turned the crockpot off!!!!! Needless to say, it was quite tender! Oh, well, I can't eat it anyway, I did it more so my Mom wouldn't have to cook.
Have a cool day!
Tia
Hey Tia, I made your cottage cheese pancakes this weekend and OMG!!! They were sooo good! I put in splenda and some vanilla extract and served them with s/f syrup. Just like french toast, like you said!
Here's my menu for today:
AM - 2 cups of hot tea
B - Atkins protein shake and a peach
L - Strive protein bar, raw baby carrots, and carb control yogurt
S - weight control oatmeal and some fruit
D - "gastric bypass bacon cheeseburger", cuke slices, and s/f jello with s/f coolwhip for dessert. My "burger" consists of one grilled Boca burger pattie, with one slice of 2% cheese melted over the top, 2 slices of light turkey bacon, onions, lettuce, light mayo, mustard, and a dab of ketchup served in a low fat whole grain tortilla wrap. It's so good that I feel like I'm cheating when I have it, but I'm not!
Shoot me if I even look at the fridge after dinner. Seriously.
meds and vits: done
water: Will shoot for 100 oz of liquids - already have 24 oz under my belt
exercise: between 45 - 60 minutes of cardio followed by upper body toning and ab work
Good Morning Beautiful!
Gosh, the fresh fruit has been so good here so far this summer. We are overrun with tomatoes, and have been buying peaches, nectarines, watermelon, etc., at the local markets. I eat some, but not as much as in the past, obviously - I just wi**** had PROTEIN!
Glad you tried & like the cottage cheese pancakes - feels like you're cheating, doesn't it?
Ohhhh, the burger sounds YUM-O! I LOVE veggies burgers, especially Morningstar Farms's black bean burger - I kind of do the same thing you do w/the wrap - but I add salsa, cheese & Greek yogurt. I don't even miss the fat!
I'll shoot you if you shoot me. Seriously.
Have a great day,
Tia
What am I eating...well today, so far it's been a protein drink and a bottle of water. I didn't have anything in the house to make lunch with and I don't plan to go out at lunchtime to buy anything since I want to get out of here fairly early. I decided after my foray into the bag of Sun Chips this past weekend (see post from yesterday) that I can spend a day on liquids. If I get hungry I do have a small bag of popcorn (yummy) or a power crunch protein bar. I'm having pasta with meat sauce (loaded with meat) for dinner. If I get out of here early enough and I make it to the grocery store on the way home, I want to get a spaghetti squash and cook it up. I'll eat that instead of the pasta. I never eat that much pasta anyway. Maybe 2-3 small bites. I load up on the meat sauce whenever we have that.
Oh, I did find the Kashi Creamy Vanilla cereal at one of the Wal-Mart's on this side of town. I thought I was going crazy because I remembered getting it at Wal-Mart, but every other Wal-Mart that I stopped at didn't have it. The last one I checked last week had it (so guess who stocked up on 4 boxes...hehe). I love that stuff. I eat it every other morning.
I'm not as hot as I was before I lost weight, but man this heat is really something, you don't feel like doing anything. Stay cool everybody!
Take Care,
Terry
Hey g/f -
Is there a Walmart Supercenter near you? Can we take a field trip there one day? That place was awesome - like crack for a shopping addict!!! They had Kahlua flavored Davinci s/f syrup, raspberry, caramel, etc. My Mom & I went to the one in Aberdeen, and it was like the Beverly Hillbillies visit Wally World - so sad, so pathetic!!!
Yep, I'm not a sweaty pig anymore, more like a piglet. What a relief! I still hate to call my brother and tell him I'm freezing in the office, he just might flog me with his mailbag.
Tia
Hey
Well the one where I found the cereal isn't called a Supercenter...it's got a Mars housed in the same building. We could take a side-trip there if ya want to. I've heard rumors that they're going to build a Wal-Mart Supercenter about 3 miles from my house (just 2 short exits up on the Beltway..yahoo!!)..lol
Well at least your brother isn't hitting you with a shoe...oh and mentioning shoes has me thinking about two of my three passions (shoes, purses, makeup)....there is ALWAYS a need for a new purse...isn't that in the Girl's Rule Book? hehehe
Hugs,
Terry
Yee-ha! A Supercenter - close to your house! I AM SO THERE!!! The one in Aberdeen was nice - some of the prices were WAY lower than our local Mars. One day, I told Brian we were going to Mars and he said, "Tia! That's too far away!" He seriously thought I meant the planet!!!!
Of course, this is the same little boy who used to love to yell, "Pagina!" from the shopping cart in K-Mart!!!!!
ICK - If Gary hit me with a shoe, it'd be wet!!!! And stinky!!! The new purse is so cute - just a little weekender, made of denim, with the front looking like two jean pockets with floral embroidery - but no cellulite dimples!!!
