Good Tuesday Morning
Good morning Terry and everyone else! Today is going to be a hot one, and I'm volunteering at my daughters high school for band camp. Don't know what my duties are, but sure that they involve hanging out in the sun. I'll be done at 1PM, so not too bad. Then this evening our baton troop mans "bingo" at the Jaycee hall in Waldorf. It's 4.5 hours in a smoke filled room with very anxious people. Wearing a pedometer tonight, so will post on exactly how many steps are taken during that time. Know it's a lot, just curious on exactly how much. Everyone have a great day and stay on track.

Morning -
My goodness, it's gonna be a hot one today - remember to water your letter carriers! My Kaity has acute swimmer's ear, and is in a lot of pain, which the dr. said we could expect for 2-3 days (YIKES!), and during the hottest week of the year, too! Dr. said no swimming for a week, so she's pretty miserable. After the dr. yesterday, I took them both for desperately needed haircuts, lunch, the mall, and the finally, home. The mall was just not cool - I guess they can only do so much. I bought a much needed pair of tennis shoes and a not-needed-at-all purse, but who ever NEEDS a purse, right Terry?! Bought a skirt & top at Penney's, too, but now I'm not sure about them. Have to look online and see if they have the color I really wanted.
The Col. is in the office 3 days this week, which is a record for him, so the possibilities are endless. He's not a problem, he's such a wonderful man, it's the "groupies," that are around when he is that makes things crazy. I don't know how he does it, the man lives in So. MD and drives to Pikesville, and is usually here by 6 a.m.! No thank you!
Other than that, nothing much going on, but please allow me to rant, and I'll be as brief as possible. My DXSIL, aka Mother of the Year, picks the kids up yesterday and tells me that she is exploring a TT. She had WLS in 3/05, and has lost a considerable amount of weight. Now, mind you, she has not been compliant, and looks pretty sickly most of the time. She always talks about how she has no money, and contributes nothing to the children's welfare other than buying them lunch on the two days that they're with her, and taking them out for fast food, which can be expensive as well as extremely unhealthy. My DB pays all of their expenses, medical, daycare, school supplies, clothes, birthday parties, treats, etc., all of which I help with, for which he's extremely grateful. So, to the point of my rant - yesterday, after I spent $15 for the dr. copay, $45 on prescriptions, took off of work to take Kaity to the dr., spent $35 on haircuts, $20 on lunch, and a little on various treats, she's sitting there telling me that she's trying to get $4500 together for a TT! WTH!!! Now, you know I'd give my soul and last $$$ for these kids - but isn't that how a Mom's supposed to feel? I know in the end, they know who's providing for them, and they love me like no other, but man, it just burns me up to hear her. She also told them that she didn't have any food in the house, so they were going to have to go to the grocery store - like they really wanted to do that in this heat. She told them that if they were willing to eat hot dogs from Checkers, she wouldn't have to go to the store. I said, "Well, what about lunch for tomorrow?" They're going on a field trip today, and she said, "Oh, I'll just pick up something from Royal Farms in the morning." GRRRRR!
I try to tell myself that she's missing out, but still.....GRRRRR! Okay, thanks for listening to me!!!
Hope everyone has a great day!!! Terry, work out for me, I still can't find that magic button!!! I thought Silhouettes might have been for me, but now I'm thinking I might just go back to the hospital program. I also thought about walking the track at my high school, but maybe I need to stop thinking and start doing. I want to do SOMETHING, but I'm not sure what that SOMETHING is!!!!!
Take care,
Tia
Good morning Terry
I was here bright and early myself. Needed to get dinner started before I left home and I got an earlier start than I expected because I didn't have anything to fix for lunch so that didn't slow me down.
Have a staff meeting at 9 and another meeting with a 'vendor' type person at 11. Sort of hoping the vendor meeting involves lunch. That would solve that problem. Otherwise, I'll probably hike around the corner and pick up Mexican something for lunch. The gang here is ordering Chinese, but I'm just not up for that today.
Didn't walk last night after all. Left work in a downpour and when I got home it wasn't raining but like walking in a steam room/sauna. Maybe tonight will be better??? (who am I fooling ... certainly not myself .. )
Looking forward to our Sunday get together!
Hugs, Mo
