Good morning Maryland!
Happy Monday a.m. .. well .. ok .. if it's not happy .. then just hope it's a good one for a Monday ???
The weekend went by way too fast. I met my sister and her hubby and son over in Springfield on Saturday for my nephew's rugby game. I got some cool pix. I can't say as I understand the game at all and I'll have to wait until he plays next summer (if he does again) to figure it out, because this coming weekend is the end of their season.
Yesterday we were up and out of the house by 7:15. Off to the deli to get coffee and breakfast sandwiches. And then on to Baltimore for the firemen's parade. We stood right on the corner of Light Street and Conway (by the Hyatt garage). I took LOADS of pictures but I really am not happy with the way they turned out . Maybe tonight I'll upload them to webshots and see how they look there.
I've been wanting to go to the ESPN Zone to eat, so after we went to the firemen's flea market thingy, we walked over to the Power Plant and had lunch at the ESPN Zone. It was fun, but now that I've done it once, I don't really think I need to do it again, unless we have company that wants to go. I have leftover chili and cornbread for lunch today. I have NO idea what I am thinking sometimes when I order.
We were on our way back to Annapolis by 1:30 and stopped at Sam's Club, did our shopping and were home by 3:30 or 4. I felt like it should be about 6 or 7, what a full day.
Mr Mo is going to the Ironbirds game tonight in Aberdeen, so I'm on my own. I think maybe I'll try to get on the 'walking' wagon and get out to the park tonight when I get home.
Have a great day!!
Hugs, Mo
Hey Mo -
Well, I'd already responded to Terry's post, so I won't bore you again with my details!
I'm not sure I understand rugby, either, but it's got to be easier than football!
Man, standing out in that heat for the firemen's parade - YIKES! I just cannot begin to imagine having to fight a fire in all that gear!
I love the harbor - thanks for scoping out the guys for me - keep lookin'!!!! Actually, even if I wanted to look myself, I'd have no idea where to do that. I'm not into bars, and somehow, internet matches scare me!!! Too many nuts! And I've already had my share!!! Leftover chili is better the second day anyway! I love cornbread, and usually make it on Halloween, but anything "breadlike" doesn't like me.
I need to get on that walking wagon with you, in fact, I brought my shorts and t-shirt, but now with having to leave early to get Kaity, I'm not sure what's going on. I thought about going to my local high school to walk, but why do that when I can walk to tapes in the a/c of my house! Who knows - probably just another excuse for me not to do it! My knees absolutely killed me after my workout at the gym last week, I need to exercise, just not sure what I want to do.
Mr. Mo will be a sweatbird tonight. I've heard they serve steamed crabs at Ripken Stadium, which is a pretty cool concept. I often thought that eating steamed crabs would be a good first date thing - you have to let your defenses down, and what better way to get to know someone than by spitting out pieces of shell? Can you tell I'm anxious to get into the dating scene again? Am I pathetic or what????
Alright, gotta get rolling. Can't wait to see you on Sunday!
Have a cool day!
Tia
Oh .. steamed crabs would be a good thing .. that would be a reason to go to Ripken Stadium. Mr Mo is allergic to shell fish so his friends delight in tormenting him about crabs!!!!
I go to Broadneck Park to walk. One loop is just about a mile (more or less) and it's a 'varied' walk ... up and down .. around curves .. out in the open and in the woods, sort of all mixed up. Last year I was really devoted to walking every day, but this year I fell off the path ... I started strong but soon as it got warm I got wimpy.
Hugs, Mo
