Good Monday Morning Everybody

Wake up! How is everyone this morning? Everybody have a good weekend? How goes the battle of the bulge? I'm doing pretty darn good for a Monday I worked both days this past weekend, so I don't really have anything to tell. Eating wise, it has not been a good weekend. I bought a bag of Sun Chips...nibbled on them whenever I got the urge. Well after eating most of the bag, I threw the bag in the trash last night because I didn't like what I was feeling (it reminded me far too much of my pre-WLS days)...I mean, I know they operate on your stomach, not your head....it's so easy to fall back into bad behavior. I'm hoping to exercise more this week. Over the weekend (as I celebrated my 1 year surgiversary (see prior post)), I decided I wanted to make working out/exercise more of a priority for Year #2. I went to Curves this past Friday...I got weighed and measured. I've now lost 88 inches...woohoo!! The last time I got measured was 5/31 and from then until 7/28 I lost 9.5 inches even though I only lost like 5lbs - so I guess it really isn't all about the scale. Have a wonderful day! Terry

Good morning Terry I should have waited one more minute for your post before doing mine that is right after yours I understand the behavior thing. Yesterday at Sam's I was so craving something sweet that I almost gave in to buying something that pre-WLS I would have purchased and wolfed down in record time. Yesterday I looked at it, picked it up, and read the package, then put it back down. I'm not always so disciplined, but yesterday I felt strong about my choices. (I won't mention the baked potato chips with blue cheese from ESPN Zone ... .. I'm going to be eating those as leftovers all week, or tonight they are going in trash .. I haven't quite decided ... it's not the chips so much that I love as the blue cheese .. ) Hugs, Mo

Morning! ICK - MONDAY!!!! And of course, it's off to a rolling boil! My poor Kaity is sick with an ear/jaw ache, so once THE SUPERVISOR gets in, I'll be leaving to take her to the dr. She's had chronic problems with her ears, and has been spending lots of time in the pool, so I'm hoping they can help her. After we're done, I'll probably spring Bubba from daycare and take them for haircuts and lunch. I had a busy weekend, beginning Friday. I went on the daycare field trip to the Harford County Farm Far on Friday. Lord, was it HOT!!! I mean HOT!!! I hadn't felt heat like that since I was in Key West!! I don't sweat nearly as badly as I used to, but still, by about 12, I looked like I was wearing a sweat bib!!! The kids were miserable, so we left around 1:30, went to lunch and then went home to the pool. The pool is a wonderful thing - it completely wears them out!!! Up early Saturday, we had the kids, and I owed Kaity a birthday lunch, so I picked her up around 11:30 and we went to Nacho Mama's in Canton, with a stop for ice cream (for Kaity) at the new Vaccaro's two doors away. I hadn't been in Nacho Mama's in a while - it's pretty cool and devoted to Elvis. I'm a big Elvis fan - they had covers of the Enquirer and Star, and I love that trashy stuff!!! We ordered the seafood quesidillas to share, and they were ginormous! The size of a small pizza - of course, last year, I could've eaten the entire plate myself. This year, we shared 1/4 of it and then Kaity had 1/2 of another quarter. It had shrimp, crab, scallops (we omitted them because Kaity doesn't like them, so they added extra shrimp), and what Kaity called Mulberry Jack cheese (Monterey Jack!). After we got home and relieved my Mom of Bubba duty, we went in the pool for a couple of hours, and then I cooked dinner and did MASSIVE amounts of laundry! ICK!! I stayed till about 9 p.m., or until things were starting to get blurry, then I went on home. Sunday, up early, did some typing, cooking, washing clothes, ironing clothes - you know, that fun stuff! How come it seems like I go to bed on Friday and wake up and it's Monday already? Who do I talk to about that? Well, can't even tell you what's on tap for this week, because it'll change. Looking forward to adult time on Sunday! I've already got an idea for our next get-together - if anyone is interested, I'd LOVE to go to a crabhouse!!!! As long as I don't eat anything else, and of course, I don't drink with my food, I can eat about 10-12 crabs. There's a place in Essex that has AYCE crabs, corn & crab soup for $25, a steal IMHO! Anyway, something to think about and for us to discuss on Sunday. OMG, I can't believe I almost forgot - after sweating like a moose on Friday, I lost 1 pound!!! YAY!!!! 235!!!! I'LL TAKE IT, HEAT RELATED OR NOT!!!! Okay, enough ME time. Hope everyone has a wonderful week!!!! Tia lap rny 8/2/05 - 370/235/170

Hi terry All is well in western md,gonna be a hot one today ut i'm working so I really don't care.I havn't had anything to eat yet,the problem is I never eat during the day and at night when I get home i'm always eating the wrong foods.I try never to buy junk food but being on the road all the time junk food is all you find out there.I should of walked today but I didn't.I work 6 am to 6 pm as a oncall driver for PTI.It is a long day but the best part of this job is when there are no calls I go home sit back relax and there are others days when i'm on the go 12 hours plus.I was on call 24 hours but that really got to me and I worked 32 days without a day off, sure the money was good but I almost killed myself doing it.Now i'm working the hours I want and I told them that i couldn't keep this job if I didn't cut back on my hours, they said ok and now all is well.I hope you have a great day steVen
