I met someone!!!!!
HA!! HA!!! MADE YOU LOOK!!!
No, I didn't meet a man. What's that - a man? Yeah, right. Still lookin'......
Anyway, I did meet a new member of the OH family, so to speak, via pictures. At DVR's support group meeting, I met almost 5 month old Miss Anna, baby daughter of my good OH friend, Faye. OMG!!! What a beautiful baby!! With THE most incredible skin and lips! I'm so envious - I wear makeup to have this child's complexion.
She was so sweet in the pictures, so smily and happy - I can't wait to have coffee with her in Canton. Maybe I've met a new fall walking buddy - hopefully, I can get Faye to bring her to one of our get-togethers, but Faye works weekends, so we'll have to plan a little ahead. And Faye just has that well-loved, new mommy glow.
Anyway, Faye, thanks for bringing pictures - you have SO MUCH to be thankful for - and the beautiful thing is, you know it!!!!
Take care,
Teresa
Hey Teresa,
Anna is a darling little thing, isn't she? Simply adorable!
Anyway, it was wondeful to see you. I totally did not recognize you - you look amazing, not that you don't always look amazing. Anyway, I wanted to tell you that I loved that ring you had on your right hand. From where I was sitting, it looked like a light blue center stone. Was it aquamarine? Anyway, I stared at it all evening.
Have an awesome day!
Hey Tracy -
Glad to see you changed your MB pic - NOT!!! Hop to it girl!!! Right back at ya - you look DIVINE!!! Truly a classy lady!!! God, are we sickening or what????
Yep, that was a Chinese aquamarine you saw on my right hand. It's my birthstone (3/25), and one of my faves. I bought it several years ago at the QVC outlet in Rehobeth - Mom & I are BIG QVC-aholics. It was quite reasonable, if I remember correctly. Unfortunately, for the past year or two, I haven't had anything catch my eye there. I don't know if you noticed the one on my left hand, but that was my tanzanite - big $$$$, but what I consider a gift from my Gagi & Pop, who were actually my SOBEXDH's grandparents, but who loved me like I was theirs. They were truly amazing people! I actually was closer to them than he was, and stayed close after our divorce in 91. I was at Gagi's side when she passed away in 2000, and Pop died the night of my first DVR consult in 3/05, actually a floor away from where DVR's office was at the time, and I didn't find out until I got home. That was devastating for me - both of them. Anyway, long story short, they left me an inheritance, and my Mom talked me into buying myself a piece of jewelry that would be "from them." Hence, my 2 ct. tanzanite. Smart lady, my Mom, the ring has such special significance, I hardly ever take it off.
So there, you probably got a longer version than you needed, but there it is!!! Keep your eye on the boards for our 8/6 get-together, I know the others would love to meet you!!!!
Take care,
Teresa
P.S. I thought you were staring at my boobs!!!! SORRY, I COULDN'T RESIST!!
See I told you that I read everyday...thank you so much. I had a such a nice time last night. I have really been thinking about the girl who was there that was so upset. Did you happen to catch her name???? I know that Karen and I have been thinking about her. You could just see and feel the pain.
Thank you for saying all of those wonderful things about my Annabanana! She is the joy of my life and I am so happy to have been blessed by her! She has changed my life along with losing almost 200 lbs!
I would love to get together soon. We do have to plan ahead if it is going to be on the weekend but I can always work something out. I have been at my current job as a manager for about 3 1/2 years and at this point I can get pretty much anything that I want. If I scratch their back they will scratch mine! That is the joy of being a nurse...your job security comes from being a nurse...not where you are a nurse. There will always be a job!
Lets plan something soon! Thanks again for being so sweet and you do have a new walking buddy...2 of them!
Take care!!! And talk to you soon!

ANNAMOMMY -
LOVED your girl!
Anyway, funny that you should mention the poor girl who was so visibly upset. I just called DVR's office and left a message that if they know who I'm talking about, they can feel free to put her in touch with me. And then I'll let you know. I'm know they can't give out her info, but maybe we can help her. I remember feeling all those emotions, too, so maybe it's just that post-op hormonal thing. I remember being a raving you-know-what until I leveled out. Kind of like your MF rants during birth!!!!
Anyway, we'll see what we can do for her. I feel kind of bad for running my mouth so much last night, but when I'm passionate about something, I get a little !!!
Take care & squeezes to Anna!!!
Teresa
