Multi-Vitamins
What brand of multi-vitamins do you take. My surgeon suggested Centrum, but the pills are too big for me to take without gagging and feeling like I am going to choke to death. Does anyone take one a day's? They are a smaller pill, but I am curious as to what supplements some of the other surgeons like Roe and DVD recommend. Thanks!
Hi Karen,
My doctor started me on Flintstones in the hospital and now almost 2 1/2 years later I'm still taking/chewing the Flintstones! I take two in the a.m. after I brush my teeth and often times at night I pop another two before I go to bed.
Also, per doctor's instructions I get my calcium from Tums.
Hugs, Mo
I take Pioneer Adult Chewables. I have since the beginning. I also take a chewable Calcium Citrate with D by Twinlabs (I think). I buy at Vitamin Shoppe, and the B-12 sublingual.
I think I got started on this chewable thing because I read somewhere you absorb more. I don't know whether fact or fiction but it must have stuck with me.

I had taken Flintstones in the beginning and generic brands of Flintstones but now i take Centurm Chewables- since the potency is better but not too high.
I take calcium citrate gelatin capsules from Vitalady. They are a godsend. The hard calcium pills are nasty when crushed and when whole or halved hurt going down and are uncomforatable in my pouch but these capsules filled with powder are very easy for me to swallow and no discomfort. 2 capules has 1000 mgs.
I take Trader Joes B12 sublinguall tablet 1x/day and Trader Joes Omega 3 and flaxseed oil capules 1x/day in addtion to a biotin supplement---these all to help with hair and skin health.
