Good Wednesday Morning!
Hey everybody -
Hope all is well! Guess I beat Terry and Mo to the punch this morning, I'm in a little earlier than normal. The Colonel's here, so we all kind of jump to it a little earlier - he's such an early bird, though, we can never beat him here! Um, sorry, I just don't make enough $$$$ to get here at 6 like he does! Plus, I'd be dead by 1!!!! Have a funeral to go to today, so I'll be leaving here around 10-ish. Support group meeting tonight, for about the 4th time since my surgery, they're having a plastic surgeon as guest speaker. Not really interested in that at this time, but I enjoy the meetings, so I'll go.
Went to Silhouettes last night and worked out - boy, did I sweat. I did the circuit for 30 minutes; my knees did NOT appreciate some of the equipment. Then I did 10 minutes on the treadmill - they had me set for 30 minutes, but I needed to be able to walk today, so I only did 10. Like I knew I would, I felt really good afterward - sweaty but good! So back tomorrow I'll go. The only thing was that when the owner was showing me how to use the equipment, she'd stop if she had to answer the phone and say, "Watch her on that machine, and then do what she does," ????? But I did okay.
So how's everybody's day shaping up? Looks like it's gonna get hotter as the week progresses, so remember to keep hydrated and water your letter carriers!
Have a great day!
Teresa
Good morning Tia
I always try to wait (unless it's my Tuesday thing) to give you a chance to post first. Remember I start my day at home about 5:30 a.m. so I could REALLY beat you to it if I tried
I miss my support group meetings. They are weekly in Salisbury, but I can't seem to get there and the twice a month Saturday meetings have been discontinued I love the idea that we are working to get an informal group going here among the MD-ers and even if it's just a social thing once a month it's really nice to connect.
I soooo need to join a gym or something. I need to check out how much Big Vanilla would be and do their free weekly thing and see if I like it. While I like the idea of Curves, I really don't want to do Curves and there are no alternatives convenient other than BV.
Have a staff meeting at 10 a.m. So far that is the only 'major' thing on my calendar. I have a couple of other things I am finishing up and need to write up a 'procedural' email to the cashiering staff about something that has occurred recently that I would like to nip in the bud.
I am feeling soooooo very much better than last week too. I think I'll be ready to go dancing tomorrow night
Have a great day.
Hugs, Mo
Hey Mo -
No, please, feel free to post if you beat me to it! Depending upon my mood, I don't always come in to work, and I look forward to the Good Morning posts whether they're from me or you or Terry! Please!!!
I like my support group, but sometimes, they're redundant with the guest speakers - I much prefer an open forum! I like our little get-togethers - like you, if for nothing else than the chance to talk!
I'm sure I'm going to join Silhouettes after my free week - the only thing I don't like is that they want you to sign up for a year, and I don't like that commitment. Granted, it should ensure that I attend, but what if I don't? Then I'm out the $$$$. On their website, they're kind of against WLS, they say it's "risky," but what about the risks I had from being MO? Well, maybe I can get them to come around. Of course, they want the $$$ for their own weight loss program. They are, after all, a business.
Glad you're feeling better and want to put on your boogey shoes!!!
Have a good one!
Tia
Good morning ladies! I am having a good morning so far. It's a nice day out, gonna be hot though. I am still trying to adjust to the humidity! What a difference from the CA dry heat.
My girls come home today, YAY!!! We are so excited! It's been 4 weeks. I am very close to my girls so it' always hard to be away that long. My youngest called me nearly everyday. I love that they still WANT to talk to their mom.
Work is quiet today. Two of my people are out so I'll have a lot of down time today. Maybe I'll get to ready that book about understanding wallstreet. It might help me in my job to learn the language.
Teresa, glad you enjoyed your workout. I am not crazy about the year long committment either. Do they have a month to month option? There might be a fee up front for that but it'd be worth asking about.
C ya later.
Robin
Hey Robin -
Gotta run, so I'll make this quick. Glad the girls are coming home - I miss my Mom when I'm away, too and I'm 39!!! Mom's my best friend, hopefully, your girls will feel that way, too, if they don't already.
Yes, the gym has a month to month pay, it's $50 as opposed to $40, which might be worth it for me. Of course, they're gonna try for the year contract, but I'm tough, so we'll see!
Have a good one. Enjoy the afternoon with the girls!
