Two week check up

Well I go for my 2 week check up tommorow and hopefully will be getting the staples out and this tube. I am praying that I can stop wearing this belly binder thing. It is very uncomfortable when I try to sleep or if it moves down. Did anyone have to wear this thing? Did you get to stop wearing it after your staples were out? I pray I can take it off for good . Hi Kelly I don't have any answers for you because I didn't have staples or come home with a tube or wear a binder, but I sure hope you can get rid of the dang thing tomorrow too. It doesn't sound comfy at all. Good luck with the doctor visit. Hugs, Mo

Kelly, no tube (taken out before leaving hospital) or binder (wore for a few days only) or staples (All sutures were interior, not exterior) here! Just wanted to drop in and wish you luck on the visit. Let us know an update. TraciL

Hi Kelly, Congrats on making it through your first 2 weeks! I am curious about your belly binder. I need something like that to ease the pain of my pinched nerve in my thigh. I bought a "bella band" and it was no help. Can you tell me more about what you're using, even though it is aggrivating to you, it may help me. Thanks, Julie

Hi Julie. I'm not sure what the exact name is cause I woke up from surgery with it on. It's like three ace bandages sewn together and you wrap it around your stomach and the side's velcro together. It is very uncomfortable and I'm so glad to have it off for good now. But it does sound like it might help for you pinch nerve. Good Luck trying to find one. I wish I had an extra one for you I havn't used but they only gave me one extra and I used them both. Have a great day Kelly
