Good Morrning My sister has a surgery date, it is August 7th at John Hopkins. She is getting nervouse and excited at the same time.I am behind her all the way and she knows that. After surgery I am giving up my home so she and her husband can stay there the reason is I live near the road and I don't have any stairs and my place is more set up for someone to recouporate.I on the other hand will be staying at her place and taking care of her kids,so this is gonna be a few busy weeks between working and the kids and my dog.She knows i'd do anything for her.The biggest problem is that her surgery is a 3 hour drive to the hospital from where we live.Ann is 40 years old and this weight has held her back for way too long I am so happy for her.........steve

Steve - That's great!! She is sooo lucky to have you, especially since you can be her sounding board, having experienced all this yourself. You're such a good brother to help her out as much as you are, I'm sure she appreciates it! Family is what it's all about, isn't it? When I can't count on anything else, my family is always there. Give her our best wishes and tell her to come visit the MD board, too!!! Take care, Teresa - lap rny 8/2/05 - 370/236/170

Steve, I'm a little late, but wanted to say congrats to your sister. And what a great brother you are! Re-cooperation will be so much easier for her, knowing, that her house and kids are being taken care of by someone who she truly loves and trusts. Best of luck! Tell her to bring a pillow in the car for the return trip home. I had to drive two hours from the hospital, and having the pillow for a little added support on my stomach, when we were going over potholes, was a blessing. TraciL
