Whatcha' Eating?
Got a late start today, but so far I've had:
8 oz. coffee/8 oz. skim milk
2 - 16 oz. bottles of water
B - 8 oz. coffee/11 oz. protein drink
L - shrimp salad/Triscuits
D - Chicken breast, crab cake, veggies, fruits & YES, dessert! MSP retirement dinner at Martin's West
Got my 5 more bottles of water pulled out for before lunch, will have 5 more after lunch, took my meds, taking my vits, and trying not to dream of chocolate!
Okay, your turn......
Teresa
ummmmmmmm...
a bottle plus some before I got out of the house this a.m.
20 oz iced coffee/protein shake
a tomato/lettuce sammich on well toasted rye (I was craving a BLT and I knew the bacon was JUST not gonna happen ... and well .. the whole sandwich idea was not a good one period .. after several trips down the hall .. enough said)
I have my salad stuff in the fridge for lunch, so if my tummy settles down from the tomato sandwich ordeal that will be lunch.
I'm sipping on water now. I've got several bottles to keep me busy for the afternoon.
Tonight will depend on how I am feeling when I get home.
Hugs, Mo
Man, I feel like a pig compared to what you guys have consumed...
B - Kashi Creamy Instant Hot Cereal Made with 8 oz milk, 3Tbsp Ground Flaxseed and SF French Vanilla Syrup (approximately 20 grams protein)
20 oz water
1 bag of Pop Secret Homestyle Popcorn - I know...bad, bad, bad....but I was hungry and craving something crunchy (I'm not sure how much protein, I think like 9 grams)
working on 2nd 20 oz of water
L - South Beach Sesame Chicken Wrap Lunch (I eat the filling on one of the wraps included in the kit and throw the other wrap and sf jello away) - tried to get the nutritional info (protein grams) on the individual things and Kraft couldn't provide it, so I estimate that each wrap is like 4 grams protein so I subtract that from the protein count listed on the box, which is usually 23-25 grams.
20 oz water
20 oz water
D - I dunno...probably chicken/fish/steak and some veggies. Going to Inner Harbor tonight. May go to cheesecake factory and get an order of grilled chicken quesadillas and a low carb piece of cheesecake to take home for tomorrow.
20 oz water
Will finish up with a 20oz tealicious protein drink before I go to bed. - 23 grams protein
Hey Tia, did you check out Silhouettes yet? I went to their website yesterday. I wish they were on my side of town because I'd definitely be interested in checking them out. Curves just isn't cutting it for me. Silhouettes/Rosedale is just too far to go 3-4 x's a week. Unless I'm misunderstanding where it is. I was thinking about our parallel "stalls". I seem to be out of my stall over the past 10 days and I think it's because I'm making a conscious effort to eat more (not making a pig out of myself at any one meal) just eating an extra healthy snack each day or eating a meal that has slightly more calories. I've been trying to eat 1,200-1,400 calories a day...it's hard! It seems to be working, I've lost 7lbs in the past 10 days. I'll take it!
Have a wonderful day!
Terry
Hey T -
Even though you may feel like you're eating a lot, compare it to a little over a year ago - I know our choices are SOOOO much better now. I like those SB wraps, too, and do what you do. Or, if I'm feeling ambitious, I buy/make my own using low carb tortillas - love those things! I've even gotten Kaity to eat them.
Oooohhhh, cheesecake - my fave! Junior's on QVC has great s/f, lc plain and some flavored. I've tried them all and they're all delish!
I can't find the Kashi hot cereal anywhere - do tell! Um, I'm assuming you're still doing flax seed to move things along - I don't have that issue, but are there any other benefits to it? I guess I could just eliminate it. Let me know what you think.
Going to check out Silhouettes tomorrow. Yes, unfortunately, Rosedale is their only location, but it's only like 10 minutes away for me. It just seems like they offer more than Curves, my body as well as my brain needs to be stimulated!!! I don't know about this stall anymore, I just know that it's completely ticking me off!! Although, when I go to the August forum, I seem to have lots of company in the stalled boat!!! I dunno, I'm afraid if I eat more, especially when I'm not hungry, I'll just eat more - you know, a vicious Catch-22!
I printed a coupon for free week at Silhouettes. Once I join, and I'm sure I will, maybe I can bring a guest - I'll check that out for you!
XOXOXO,
Tia
Oh yeah, I was a woman out of control a year ago...now my pouchie is in control and I LOVE IT!!
I have trouble finding the Kashi Hot Cereal too - it doesn't seem to be carried in all of the stores. It's near the instant oatmal. Comes in an oblong box with like 8 or 10 packets and you make it up like instant oatmeal. All it is is oatmeal with some more whole grains thrown in. The one I've been getting is called "Truly Vanilla" and it has a nice vanilla flavor. I add the sf french vanilla syrup to enhance the vanilla flavor since the ground up flax seed affects the flavor (not necessarily bad, just makes it taste less vanilla-y). Flaxseed is good for you and your digestive tract - not just to move things along. I found that the flax wasn't doing that good of a job with that, so now I'm also taking 2 fiber-con type pills in the morning and in the evening and that seems to be helping. Anyway, I'll give you a pack of the Truly Vanilla if ya want to try it and then we can scope out finding it. I think the last place I got it was either Food Lion or Wal-Mart (yes Wally World had it, I was shocked).
I made a SF Cheesecake last month when my Aunt/Uncle/Cousin were in from out of town. I used half Splenda and half Nature Sweet (malitol). The Nature Sweet comes in a canister and measures just like sugar. I bought it because Dame Tooter had mentioned in one of her posts that she used it and preferred it over Splenda. You couldn't even tell the cheesecake was sugarless. My family was raving over it.. I didn't use FF Cream Cheese/Sour Cream in my recipe. I go ahead and use the full fat cheese/sour cream and whipping cream. I figure we all need a certain amount of fat and for the amount of that cheesecake that I ate it wasn't that bad. The other thing that I did to bring the net carbs down is to put ground up almonds in my graham cracker crust. I think next time I'm going to use pecans. I just saw the guy from Juniors on Emeril Live last night. I'm trying to now figure out how to modify the Carrabba's Dessert Rosa to be more acceptable. I could do SF/FF Vanilla Pudding and then just go ahead and do regular whipping cream (I'm sorry, cool whip just doesn't cut it in some cases). You take yellow (butter recipe) 9 x 13 cooked cake and slice a square and then slice it in half horizontally and then layer with the vanilla pudding, crushed pineapple, bananas and strawberries, top with the second layer of cake and then top with whipped cream and a strawberry dipped in chocolate....I actually resisted eating it when we took my g/f out for her bachelorette dinner last week. We're all getting together again on Sunday so I think I may make that for that, or I have recipe for chocolate smear cake...not sure how that'll turn out. Maybe I'll make both! hehe...some old habits die hard...hehe
Hey T -
FYI - I named my pouch Randy, after the finicky little brother in A Christmas Story, my all-time second favorite movie!!! Randy often let's me know who's boss, and even if I eat "bad," it sure isn't anywhere near the quantity or quality it used to be! Such a relief!
Anyway, yes, I'd like to try the Kashi - you're so sweet!!! When I was doing WW, I tried the Kashi Good Friends cold cereal - ICK! It tasted like the box it came in! The Go Lean Crunch wasn't bad mixed in yogurt, though. I'll try anything you have - oatmeal, men, money, men, etc.!!!!!
That recipe sounds YUM-O, but what's a chocolate smear cake? You could make a s/f yellow pound cake to substitute for the yellow cake, that would help with the sugar factor.
Okay, can't wait to see you on 8/6, but I'll have a surprise for you before then (NO, I don't have a date, and NO, I'm not pregnant)!!!!!!!
