August 6th Get Together at Arundel Mills Mall
Hey Everybody,
Haven't heard any disagreement with my suggestion to meet outside the Blue Star Grill at Arundel Mills Mall at Noon on August 6th. I got a copy of the menu when I was in there last week, but I couldn't figure out how to post it somewhere so that everyone could look at it. I did a web search, and while the restaurant does not appear to have a web-site, they do have the capability to receive, via internet, food orders. So, everyone could peruse the Blue Star Grill Menu by going to the link below (you'll have to paste to your browser). I'm assuming you can scroll through and look at the different pages of the menu and then just not place the order for food.

The restaurant opens at 11, so they'll be open by the time we meet at Noon. For those not familiar with the mall, the restaurant is on the end of the mall where the MUVICO Movie Theatre/Chevy's Fresh Mex Restaurant/DuClaw Brewery/Dave & Buster's is located.
Here I go assuming again. For those not familiar with where the mall is, it's located in Hanover, MD just east of the Baltimore Washington Parkway (MD 295), south of MD Rte. 100. You can get to it by taking the Arundel Mills Blvd exit off of the BW Parkway (just north of MD 175 and just south of MD 100) for Arundel Mills Blvd or the Arundel Mills Blvd exit off of Rte 100 - I believe it's Exit 10, but I'm not sure). It is easily accessible from both I-97 (take Rte 100 west from 97), 295 and I-95 (take Rte 100 east from I-95).
Forgive me, but I cannot remember who it was exactly who was asking about wheelchairs. I sent an email to the mall requesting information and have not received a response back. I plan to stop at the customer service desk in the mall this week to find out what types of wheelchairs are available and if there is a fee. I will post that information here in the MD Forum
I think that's it for now.
Take Care,
Terry
Right, I knew they were available and I know where the customer service desk is (total opposite end of the mall to where we're meeting, don't it figure?)...I had asked what kind of wheelchairs (manual vs electric) and if there was a charge and if they could be reserved. Since they haven't answered my email, I'm going to stop over there this week and inquire about it.
Hugs,
Terry
ps - maybe by the day we meet, the new Lane Bryant Outlet will be open. I don't like all their stuff, but love their bras and panties and some selected items.
Hi everybody,
It was I who asked about wheel chairs! I do not have one but would need to have an extra large one anyway. If the restaurant has an outside entrance and I can park relatively close to it, I can get there. Let me know if that is the case.
By this time tomorrow, I will be seeing Dr. Li for my consult. I am excited and scared.
Will keep you posted.
Julie
Hi Julie
Yes, the restaurant is fairly close to the door between the Chevy's and the DuClaw Brewery. There are handicapped spots not too far from that door (duh Terry, like they're usually so far away from the door...hehehehe)
When you enter the mall between Chevy's and DuClaw Brewery, just walk straight ahead and you'll run into the Blue Star Grill.
Oh I can remember that mix of emotions. Maybe I'm just dumb, but I remember more excitement versus fear. Even the morning of surgery, when I expected to have a case of jitters, I was as cool and calm as a cucumber. I knew I had made the right decision and I was ready to accept whatever outcome happened for me. Best of luck to you Julie as you progress on your journey. As always, if ya have any questions just throw 'em out here. Let us know how your consult goes.
I look forward to meeting you on August 6th!
Take Care,
Terry
I plan on trying to join you all at Arundel Mills. I was wondering if anyone is interested in any clothes (I have a few size 3X, boat load of 4X, 5X and 6X) that I can bring with me. A few of these items have never been worn (was hoping to lose weight to wear them and then I lost so fast I forgot all about them). This past weekend I cleaned out my closet and kept one set (top and bottom) that I took a photo in prior to surgery. I'm using this outfit to show before/after photos for inspiration when I hit any plateaus. I think I'm still in my first plateau since I've only lost 1 lb each week these last two weeks.
Oh well, hope to see you all there.
