but the weekend from a Tuesday point of view ... Well, here it is Tuesday again .. another week gone by on our journeys. I hope everyone has a good day and everything goes the way you need it to go! I've got a software upgrade meeting to run at 9 a.m. and then a staff meeting after that .. then we have a birthday lunch for someone in the office .. I'm sure there will be lots of other things to keep me busy all day .. and the day will fly by .. or so I hope .. I was up too late last night and out of bed at 5 a.m. this morning so I'll be crashing early for sure tonight. Hugs, Mo

Hey Mo - I'm here, barely functioning, but able to run my mouth via my keyboard! Still not getting your friend's philosophical quote, but I'll work on it!!! Hmm, where to begin? Okay, Saturday was nuts, I was up at 7 a.m. baking 5 doz. cupcakes (I tend to overcook/bake, but I'm one of those hostesses that would rather have too much than not enough). Ran to Macy's, bought Kaity a pair of gold hoop earrings for her birthday that she can wear once her starters are out, relieved my Mom of the kids at 2:00, did some laundry, read a little, fixed dinner, hung out with them (surprisingly, they didn't want to go anywhere, they were pooped after 4 hours in the pool), and left them about 6:00 after Gary got home to pick up my Mom and have dinner with her and my aunt at Squire's (a great restaurant in Dundalk - pizza, pasta, salads, etc. - they also have awesome Sangria, but no, I didn't!!!), then after dinner, Mom & I ran to Wally World to pick up some last minute party supplies, then home at 10 p.m. to decorate said cupcakes. They turned out great!!! Yes, I took pictures. Kaity was thrilled! I got the ultimate compliment from a 10 year old, "Cool! Thanks, Tia!" then I was up until 1 a.m. putting goody bags together. Being the anal aunt that I am, I don't do traditional goody bags with just candy - I bought crocheted purses for the girls, added stickers, lip gloss, nail polish and candy, and for the boys, I did character pencils, stickers, cars and candy! Yep, I'm nuts. So, up at 6:30 on Sunday a.m., thanks to the sunlight , but I wasn't really tired - HUH? Left for the party at 11 and got home at 5:30, after being with said screaming, running, hyper party guests. It was a great party, but we were pooped!!!! There's kind of a group of us "Moms and Non-Moms" who travel together in a pack for these birthday parties, and have been since these kids were 5, so it's kind of neat! As a matter of fact, the grandma of one of Kaity's friends was my elementary school nurse whom I loved, so it's nice to see her at these parties. Yes, I signed my own take the day off slip on Monday in advance - believe me, I've learned my lesson. My legs and feet were sooooo sore yesterday from being on my feet so much on Sunday. BUT, this time last year, I couldn't have stood this long, so it's an enjoyable hurt!!! Okay, so I'm back in the saddle again, so to speak. Hope everyone is doing well! Mo, did you do anything fun? Have fun at the birthday lunch! Terry, I want to hear ALL about the wedding!!! Okey-dokey pokey - have a lovely day! Teresa

Good Morning Mo and Teresa! (and everybody else reading this) Tia, I'm tired just reading about your weekend. hehe Tia, the wedding was just beautiful. A really meaningful ceremony. My goddaughters (daughters of the bride (all 5 of 'em) and daughter of the groom were adorable and the son of the groom was so cute). Everything went off without a hitch. Was just hot....but what do ya expect in July. Tried to catch that darn bouquet, but it richocheted off of the ceiling and hit the floor and bounced up and my youngest goddaughter (aged 6) had it in her hands before I could get to it...oh well, I've caught the bouquet many times and I'm still always the bridesmaid, so I guess that old wives tale doesn't hold any water... One good thing, I danced and danced and danced at the wedding. I haven't danced like that in years. My feet and back hurt on Sunday, but it was worth it! I guess we're gonna have to get moving on this get together on the 6th. I picked up a menu when I was at the restaurant last week. Now I just have to figure out how to post it so that everyone can look at it. I may just see if they have a website and point everybody there. Have a Wonderful Day! Take Care, Terry

T - I am SOOOO glad everything went well on Saturday! You dancing fool, you!! Who'd you dance with? Huh? Huh? Any film stars? Did they go on a honeymoon by themselves, or was it like the Brady Bunch wedding? Now that you're out of wedding hell and I'm temporarily out of birthday hell (Bubba's b-day is Sunday!!!), we do need to get moving on the 6th. I'm assuming it's okay if I meet you at your house? Let me know. Tia

Don't worry, I've known Edd for years and I hear the Tuesday quote EVERY Tuesday and I have no idea either so we will just go with it. Didn't do anything really spectacular this weekend. I finally got my nails done Saturday a.m. and did some grocery shopping at SuperFresh then spent the afternoon poking through the clearance racks at Kohls. Had some success there .. for both myself AND Mr Mo. Bad weekend with me and food. I think both Saturday and Sunday I let myself get 'over' hungry and then tried to eat something that was too ambitious for my pouch so I spent a whole lot of time in the bathroom while my insides rearranged what I had eaten or tried to eat. Took it easy yesterday on the eating and this morning I am feeling pretty normal. Just have to remember to not be adventurous at lunch. Have a software upgrade meeting at 9. I think this is where we are going to 'formally' postpone again .. to October or November. I'm holding out for November, but it may be the first weekend in October. Gotta scoot .. have a cup of coffee calling my name Hugs, Mo

Good Morning everyone! Well, I don't have much time. I am off soon to cover a desk for a gal that has to leave. I hope to be busy today. Yesterday I had nothing to do all day until about 3:00PM. I hate days like that. Makes the day so long. Had a good weekend. I went shopping Saturday. I bought me a couple of new blouses. I needed them. I am so excited that they were a size 14/16W from Lane Bryant. Cool! I havn't worn that size in many many moons. Went to curves. Oh, Saturday was my 4 months WLS anniversary. I am down 63 lbs and have lost a total of 41 inches. Just need to really work on losing inches in the hips and thighs. ugh! Still, I am proud of where I am at. I am enjoying the loss and can't wait to see how life will be with another hopefully 60+ lbs lost. I just don't know what that will be like but I am looking forward to it. Sunday I went shopping for my new nephew and niece. My husband couldn't believe how much I spent but hey, I never get to see them, they live many states away so I have to spoil them some other way. Sounds like everyone had great weekends. It sure is hot today. Although so was yesterday but I still went outside for lunch to warm up. Soo cold in our offices. Well, have to run. I'll try to check in again later. I am really looking forward to meeting y'all on Aug 6th. I have cleared the afternoon. Hugs Robin

Hey Robin - Sounds like a great weekend! That's awesome about the blouses. Since your size will change so much, if you don't already, you might want to check out Wally World; they actually have some nice tops and stretch jeans. Love those nieces and nephews - tell your husband that it's your right as their aunt to spend $$$ on them!! Yup, hot here, too, but my office is freezing, too! I feel bad telling my brother the mailman that, but oh well!!!! Take care, Teresa

Hi Robin! To add on to what Teresa said regarding shopping, I've done some great shopping for work type clothes .. tops/blazers/slacks at Salvation Army and Goodwill and a couple of upscale thrift stores. Even though my size is pretty stable (though it could be 'smaller') I continue to shop at the thrift stores. Another suggest for this time of year are the clearance racks at Kohls and Hechts. You can really get some deals. Hugs, Mo

Dont forget about "super Saturdays"!!! At Goodwill Superstores, all clothes are half-price the last Saturday of each month.
