I am havin the worst time figurin out where to stay in Sept. when I travel to Baltimore for surgery. I will be stayin in town 10 days after I leave the hospital. My sis will be with me and we really want a place with a kitchen..not just a hotel room. And I am not payin $$$$$$ for it. Seems like Bayview (JHMC) would at least have an indepth list of properties...but alas, no. This is where I start to get upset and aggravated...not being able to get/find what I want and need......OK.....maybe I'm done whinnin for a bit.. Darlene

Darlene - Give me a little bit, let me do some research for you. I'm familiar with the immediate area, so hopefully, I'll be able to find something for you. I'll also be happy to come visit you and your sis, our schedules allowing, of course. Working on it for you! Teresa

Darlene, I just did a quick search for hotel rooms/suites in the White Marsh Area. I wasn't sure if you wanted to stay in downtown Baltimore and deal with the traffic or not. White Marsh is an area just up Interstate 95 North of Baltimore. There are also many hotels on "my side of town", which is south of Baltimore near BWI-Thurgood Marshall Airport. I didn't check on my end yet because I wasn't sure if you wanted to be bothered with the drive to Johns Hopkins (although it's not THAT far). The link below is for hotels/suites in the White Marsh area. I can keep looking for hotels on my side if you'd like. I live near BWI and I know there are many suite type hotels in the immediate area, such as: Candlewood Suites, Marriott Garden Inn, Country Inn & Suites, Staybridge Suites, Doubletree Guest Suites. This area is sort of the epicenter for all the hotels with all the business travel in and out of the area. If you'd like I can do another search and post the results for that on here as well. Just let me know. http://reservations.hotel-guides.us/nexres/search/search_results.cgi?tab=tab0&avail=Y&bed_type=NP&src=10011673&address_lat_lng=39.383598%2C-76.432502&max_distance=10&poi_name=Hotels+near+White+Marsh%2C+Maryland&doa_mm=09&doa_dd=10&dod_mm=09&dod_dd=20&num_adults=2&num_beds=2&smoking_pref=NSMK&Go=Find+Hotels I think you're gonna have to copy and paste that link into your browser. Okay, Here's the link for BWI Area. As you can see there are many more to chose from. The first few listed are not "suites" type hotels. Like my last search, I searched for a room for 2 adults. Didn't know the dates, but I picked Sept 10-20th. Let me know if I can do anything else. http://reservations.hotel-guides.us/nexres/search/search_results.cgi?ses=0acb0e4fd023e01094d7d20e6f14e8e719473ps&src=10012874&clear_cache=&nps=Y&tab=tab0&unps=&city=BWI&state=MD&country=US&t1_addr=&t1_city=&t1_state=&t1_zip=&t1_country=US&t1_distance=15&airport=&t3_landmark=&t3_state=&t3_country=US&t3_distance=15&avail=Y&doa_mm=09&doa_dd=10&dod_mm=09&dod_dd=20&num_rooms=1&num_adults=2&num_children=0¤cy_id=USD&name=&brand=&star_rating=&reset=Reset+Fields&search=Search HTH Terry

Darlene - There is a travel plaza at I-95, which is very close to Bayview, so your sister could rest at the hotel and then visit with you. Also, there are some restaurants/carry-outs there so she isn't stuck with eating hospital food. Still working on it! Teresa

Darlene - Okay, try this. It's a Greyhound bus link, but the travel plaza is called, uniquely enough, Baltimore Travel Plaza. https://www.greyhound.com/scripts/en/TicketCenter/terminal.asp?city=190542 HTH, Teresa

Darlene. The best place might be the Extended Stay or Homewood Studio Suites by the airport. (cut and paste link.) http://www.extendedstayamerica.com/booking/metroArea.asp?page=make&hotelID=XXX882&numadults=1&numkids=0&numrooms=1&metroID=164&state=MD&inday=19&inmonth=7&inyear=2006&outday=20&outmonth=7&outyear=2006&promocode=&usercode=&rateid=ESH&CorpInfo=&DirectBill=&iata=&hssite=&WTReferrer=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Eextendedstayamerica%2Ecom%2Fsession2%2Easp%3Fpage%3Dhttp%253A%2F%2Fwww%2EExtendedStayAmerica%2Ecom%2F%26hotelid%3DXXX882%26state%3DMD%26metroID%3DMD164%26iata%3D%26corpinfo%3D%26numadults%3D1%26numkids%3D0%26numrooms%3D1%26inmonth%3D7%26inday%3D19%26inyear%3D2006%26outmonth%3D7%26outday%3D20%26outyear%3D2006%26rateid%3DESH%26directbill%3D%26promoCode%3D%26destpage%3Dmake Will likely cost around $100 a night, but have full kitchens and is in a safe area. Also not too far from a multiplex so you can catch up on movies if you'd like. -Daniel
