Good Friday Morning! Seems like it took forever to get here, but it always does when you don't like your job. Anyway, busy day yesterday, did millions of pieces of correspondence for the Colonel before he leaves town. After yesterday, he won't be signing anything until the first of August, so of course, everybody had to have everything yesterday! Today should be calmer. I'm sitting here drinking my iced s/f hazelnut protein coffee; I've already had an iced s/f kahlua coffee, and two - 16 oz. bottles of water, so me little bladder is floating! I just try to mindless guzzle water on my way to work, so I need to RUN down the hall when I'm done here. Picking up the kids tonight because undoubtedly, my brother will have to work OT. I'll probably stop on the way home to get them snowballs, and a s/f one for Tia, and then I'll let them get in the pool. I might stop at Wally World on the way home to look for a chaise lounge that I can put on the pool deck so I can read while they drown each other. I like getting in the pool, but I like to read more!! We have them tomorrow, so I'll probably get up early and bake the beach cupcakes and then relieve my Mom of them around 12. I told them if it doesn't rain, we'll have an at-home pool day, and if it rains, we'll go bowling. Personally, I almost think I want to go bowling with them. We'll see. Probably laundry and cleaning over at Gary's, too. My Mom, who's brilliant, told them yesterday they could only get in the pool if they hurried up and cleaned up their toys. Boy, they were like mini-tornadoes!!! I'm gonna try that tomorrow! Yesterday was pet day at daycare, so my Mom took Molly the Beagle, who was a big hit!! She was squealing and wiggling her fat little behind at all the kids, she's such a sweet furbaby! Sunday's the big bday party at Jeepers, looks like we're gonna have 10-15 kids, and at $17.00 a person, it's not cheap, but we don't have to clean up!!!! YAY! Although we only get a two hour block of time, we'll probably let them stay until about 4, then we can go home and pass out. Kaity's upset because her best friend can't come, they're going camping. ICK! My idea of roughing it is telling the maid to come back the next day with fresh towels!!!! Terry M.'s bgf is getting married tomorrow. She said the fiancee is a good guy, and he must be, because he readily accepts the gf's FIVE children. So let's send up good wishes for the bride and groom and prayers for good weather. Okay, folks, sorry I'm so chatty this morning, must be all the caff coursing through my blood!!!! What's going on with all of you this weekend? Do tell!! Have a wonderful day - hope it goes quickly!!! Teresa

Morning Teresa Wow you were chatty this a.m. I don't have nearly that much to report .. but ya never know .. when I get to typing the words just fall off my fingertips. Marlene, Phyllis and I made the grand trip over the bridge last night to go to the Crab Deck at Fisherman's Inn (at Kent Narrows). *bleah* it was hot and icky and LOUD. We sat at the bar and had one drink (diet coke w/lemon for me), paid our tab then walked over to Fisherman's Inn and had dinner in the nice a/c bar. I have most of a cajun broiled and stuffed tater dinner left. By the time I ate my salad and a roll (this is not a good thing .. bread stuff is starting to stay down .. am going to have to stop trying to eat it) I didn't eat but a few bites of my fish and tater, so the left overs are in the fridge here for lunch today. We all sort of decided that the trip to the Crab Deck was NOT worth the $2.50 toll for the bridge, so we won't be doing that again. Good thing that the line dancing guy doesn't go on vacation often .. so we won't need to be looking for something else to do on a Thursday night. I got home just about 9 and was wound up so I ended up staying up til 10 and watching OLTL on Soapnet. I am soooo out of touch with all my soapies for the last couple of weeks. I catch scenes here and there on Soapnet. I know I really am not missing much, but .. geeeez .. lol Your take on camping sounds like a friend of mine who says her idea of roughing it is a place where they don't put mints on the pillow when they turn down the bed at night. Actually, I also know people who don't think what Mr Mo and I do is 'camping' .. with the 40 foot motorhome .. it's actually nicer (and almost bigger) than our first house I think I have a noodle chair for the pool .. or some sort of 'hammock' thingy .. I REALLY need to get our pool cleaned out and use it. The cover has slipped .. and there is junk in the pool and it needs a whole lot of attention .. the frogs have take over .. I sort of wish a tree could fall on it .. so that maybe we could get the insurance to help get it back in shape At this point in the season I think it's too hot to be out there working to get it open because it's not like we can be in it while we work on it. So I've missed yet another year of pool. I need to get a pot of coffee going here. I've had an iced coffee protein shake, but now I need something 'warm' That will get the hot flashes going for sure. Talk to you later. Hugs & smoochies, Mo

Morning Mo - Yep, chatty am I. I think it's because I just love this board and want everyone to get involved. It helps that I can type 90 wpm. I hate when I go out to dinner and it's loud. I want to hear the people I'm with talking, not feel like I'm part of some bad Japanese movie where the sound comes out after their lips move!!! Good for you resisting the 'rita! Sorry it wasn't worth the trip. Maybe Kent Narrows is starting to just trade on their location? With line dancing, it's actually exercise, so I guess it's a better bet. Yeah, I think I could camp in a 40' motorhome, as long as there's adequate water, a/c and power outlets! God, am I a princess!!! You're right, it's almost too hot to mess with the pool, but the hammock thingy sounds nice! Stay cool with those hot flashes! T.

Good morning! I am so glad that it's friday!! I was so tired this morning and dreaming that I could sleep in! Oh well. So this is the end of my first week on my new job. I truly like everyone that I have met. Many very helpful people. I know I am going to like it here. I don't miss my old job at all! We have a wedding to attend tomorrow but other than that we have no plans for the weekend. We will have to come up with something. My children are away for this month at grandparents so it's just dh and I. We will have to do a date day or something. I would love to go to the beach again, but we'll have to see. Time could hinder that. I would also like to report that, if the scale at the hospital is at all close to the one at curves, I met my goal of 60 lbs in 4 months! WooHoo! Yes, I am giving my self a little hand. lol. I was talking to my bgf last night and she asked how my husband is reacting to this. Well, to be quite honest, he hasn't said a word. He doesn't ever say anything to me about my weight or how l look. I guess that how I look just truly doesnt matter to him and that he loves me no matter what. Also, I can only think that he really means it when he tells me that if I am happy then he is happy. Still, it would be nice to have him tell me that he really notices the weight loss or likes how I look in the smaller clothes. Maybe that'll come later on. Oh, one more thing. I finally, for the first time in 18 years, weigh less than my husband. another hand for me. hahahaha We'll chat more later. Have a wonderful day everyone and a great weekend. Oh, and ladies, you might want to consider just a little less caffine. Hugs, Robin

Morning Robin, you sexy thing you! That's great on meeting your goal - it's such a nice feeling, isn't it???? I like to throw in my brother's face that I now weigh less than him - hehehe! See my post about weird dreams - dreaming about sleeping in is nothing compared to being kidnapped by a mean Cat in the Hat!! Hope the weather's good tomorrow for your bride and groom - I can't think of anything worse than rain on a wedding day, but actually, I've heard that it's good luck for a bride if it rains - NO THANKS!!! So how'd you get rid of the kiddies? Ooooohhhh, a date with your hubby - how nice! Maybe if you get dolled up, he'll notice - maybe some new lingerie? If he's not generally a sharer with his feelings, I wouldn't take it too personally. Come here, we'll tell you you look great - and you do!!!! Glad the new job is going well - want to give us a hint on what you're doing? BTW, caffeine has nothing to do with my perkiness, well, maybe some!!!! I just love this board and want us to have a cult following! PLUS, I LOVE TO TALK!!!!!! You have a great weekend, too! Teresa

Thanks Teresa, Oh, I am an admin assistant for T.Rowe Price in Baltimore. I forgot to tell y'all what I do. I try not to get to offended by my husband's lack of expression. I just might have to try some new lingerie, I know it'll at least get his attention. I try every summer to send the kids to my parents for a few weeks. They are getting to the age they don't want to spend too much time with grandparents so this'll probably be the last summer. They have jobs or friends that are more important now. You know what I mean. Gotta run. Robin

Hey Robin - I worked downtown at State Highway Administration on Calvert St. many moons ago. I hated that we had to pay $120/month to park - and that was 18 years ago!!! I'm not sure whether my drive now, Middle River to Pikesville, is any better, but at least I don't have to pay to park. Hopefully, your children will have fond memories of the summers spent with their grandparents. I miss my Mom's mother very much, the rest of the grandparents were nothing special. In fact, I often feel bad that I didn't have children for my Mom, so I was pretty happy when my brother had two. Not that she ever pressured me, but she's such a great Mom, I knew she'd love to be a grandmom, and she does! Okay, have a great weekend!!!! Teresa

I was lucky, when I worked downtown my parking was paid for. But that was because we had parking in Connecticut and when they moved us to Baltimore they couldn't very well make us pay for our own parking and there weren't a huge number of us. I've been really spoiled just driving 6.2 miles to work each way for the last 15 years since I stopped the commute to Baltimore .. of course there are days when crossing the Severn River can be a challenge in itself! xoxoxox, Mo

Ah yes, I remember well the days when my commute was 7 minutes each way! 3 miles - THREEEEEE MILES!!!! OMG! Why did I ever think the $$$$ was worth it? My ultimate goal, before I'm eligible to retire in 9 years (NINNNNE YEARS!!!), is to get back to either the Golden Ring Barracks or Aviation Division at Martin Airport. We'll see! Oh, BTW, I am SO proud of me, I resisted the brownies and cookies at lunch and just ate some tuna salad, cukes and a nectarine. GOOD TIA, GOOD TIA! T.

You are in a good location if I am thinking of the right place .. you must be really close to the Inner Harbor so you have good walking places downtown at lunch if you want to get out. I was at Lexington and Charles, so we had a hike to the Inner Harbor when I was downtown. I've been gone from there for over 15 years now and it almost seems like a dream that I ever was downtown every day. Have a great weekend. Hugs, Mo
