ok..just got my date for DS with Dr. Schweitzer....Oct 5...but hey, I still would like to chat with patients of his (not be sent to a site to READ) soooo...any of you Dr Schweitzer patients out there? Darlene

Hi Darlene, I'm not a Dr S patient, but welcome to the MD board! Are you relocating to MD or just coming here for your surgery? I have met several of his patients who speak very highly of him. I am a Schweitzer patient!!!! And like you, I have to wait wait wait...... I was approved June 9th a month ago. 65 days till surgery. I have seen many post of people getting surgery 2 weeks after approval. I am just anxious. Are you in TX?

I live in Texas and will travel to Baltimore for the surgey. There is only 1 surgeon in Texas who does DS (he started a few months ago) and he has only done a very few. I dont wait well so I am thinkin of redecoratin in the interem. Do you have an angel yet? Darlene

No, I do not have an angel. The way I read your post is you are relocating to Maryland to live? Is that correct?

I talked with Dr. Schweitzer's office on Thursday....surgery is now 3 weeks SOONER! Sept. 19 is the new date!! God is smilin on me! Darlene

Thats wonderful. My date is September 14th. I might call next week to see if I can get a push up...... Doctor is supposed to be out several weeks in the months of July and August. Maybe a cancellation? That would be cool.... I am glad you were moved up. the wait is killing me. Do you talk to Debbie? She is wonderful. She works very hard and has a lot on her plate in her personal life. Her Mom needs her a great deal these days. I do not know where she gets the strength. Have you had the consult with doctor in person? I would be happy to spend time with you while you are in Baltimore. I know how over whelming it can be in a strange city. Have you done Nut or Psych eval yet? How do they want you to handle this? If you need info or help. Let me know. Congrats on the new date
