info on Dr. Schweitzer please

Darlene, I'm having a DS with BPD on Sept 12. You are SO fortunate that your PCP has had a DS!!!! Who could be more understanding than that? Sometimes it is difficult to find a PCP who even agrees with WLS. I was VERY pleased with my consult with Dr. S. He is very business-like, but also seems genuinely caring and concerned. I've read many posts where his patients complain that he is too business-like, but I'm a nurse, and frankly he was much more personable than most surgeons are. As someone else wrote "I want and need an excellent surgeon, not another friend". Please keep in touch, and let me know if I can be of further help/support to you. Marcia
