Any Fat friendly PCP's in Frederick?

I will be switching to Optimum Choice Preferred insurance at the end of this month and my current PCP is not with that insurance. (She also is in Mont Co.) I am the closest to surgery now than i ever have been and need to start the 6 month monitored diet. I am looking for a PCP who will be supportive of my surgical decision and takes my new insurance who is in the Frederick, MD area, since that's where i live and will be working come next week.

Dr. Hope McIntyre is my PCP. She has an office in Mt. Airy if that is not too far for you to travel, but I am not sure if she is a participating physician for Optimum Choice. Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth, I see you're going to meet with Dr Greene on Thursday. He's great. Dr Greene did my Lap Gallbladder surgery last year. He looks so young for someone so accomplished. I've met a few of his patients also and they seemed to be very happy with their outcomes. I exercise at Bally's (mainly Kentlands location) and walk too if you ever want an exercise buddy. I checked the optimum choice website and Dr McIntyre is in our network and actually has an office in Mt Airy and one not to far from my home on Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD (i live about 2 miles north of there off of Opossumtown). I'll have to check her out.

I don't live too far from Kentlands. I used to belong to Fitness First but I cancelled my membership last year because I wasn't going much. I stopped going because I didn't feel comfortable there. I mostly do walking now but not enough of it. What time do you do your walking? I would love to have an exercise buddy! That's great that Hope is in your health plan. She is also a friend of mine and I first met her when we went to the same church. She is very supportive about me pursuing WLS. I think she is going on vacation near the end of the month for a couple of weeks so if you want to see her you should call her office soon. Elizabeth
