I'm struggling. I know a lot of people hit a dead-end around the 4 month mark. How do you handle it? Especially, emotionally.

Hi Marcia, Have you talked to your nutritionist or doctor? I'm not a professional but maybe you should be looking at what you are eating and be sure you are eating enough to lose. It sounds weird, but it's possible that you are not eating enough and that your body is perceiving 'starvation' mode. Also, make sure you are getting your vitamins, water and protein! I'm in Arnold too, so if you'd like to get together and walk in the early evening let me know. I haven't been as disciplined as I was last year (and the weather hasn't been so cooperative), but I try to walk two laps at Broadneck Park after work (usually sometime between 5 and 6:30 p.m.). Hugs, Mo

Sometimes, your body takes a break and you may not see results on the scale but you may be losing inches... I wish I had measured more because I lost so many inches and that's a motivator when the scale slows down. Still to this day, when I am down on myself... I look at my preop picture and that puts things in perspective.... look how far you have come from... I know I just renewed my driver's license, it was nice to update my weight and not lie and have a picture that actually looks like me! You should also call Nancy. She has lots of tips and can give you some suggestions. It's much better to use those resources than going it alone... Best wishes, Lisa
