Summer Picnic - Dr. Roe's Patients & Support Group Members - DETAILS

Long Post Sorry - This is the information you have been waiting for. Hi All, This is the information you have been waiting for. We have a date and a place for the Summer Picnic. Mark your calenders. Here are the details. This event is for ALL of us including family and friends. Date: Saturday, August 5th Time: Schedule yet to be formed. We have the pavilion from 10 a.m. to dusk (close) Where: GunpowerderFalls State Park - Hammerman Area in the Gum Pavilion. Although it will not be written in stone, I would like to have an R.S.V.P. for planning purposes by July 15th. You may email me the number in youR group that will be attending to: debra _aquaowo@ yahoo.com The pavilion is quite new and has ample parking with 5 handicap spots. It has a very nice playground next to the pavilion. We have access to fresh water and electricity. The restrooms are also right there. Plenty of open space to set up children's games and for that matter adult games. It is just a quick trip to the beach for those who want to swim, sail, windsurf and/or Kayak. I have a price list. I will leave fliers and maps in docs office hopefully by Monday. I would be interested in getting a group together to take the Eco-discovery tour by Kayak. We can call in with a group as small as 4 and as large as 12. The cost is 35.00 per person. We would have to make reservations for that in advance. In addition if anyone is experience in sailing a Hobie 16' Catamaran, we could rent one for the day @ $140.00. Perhaps we could split the cost. I can't sail a Catamaran but would be will to go along with. I have people working on the following: Menu - Kathy Wills Photos - Rho (hopefully we can get a group photo in the afternoon/evening) Obtaining paper products - Kelly Peleska Music/Entertainment - Kim Nocar (does anyone know a local group that might enjoy entertaining us????) CAN YOU HELP WITH THE FOLL WING????? This is what I need - People to take of: -Grilling Responsibilities - there are three grills on site. We may need someone to bring a gas grill or two. Looking at around 4 -6 p.m. -Games for the children -Adult games - volleyball. softball etc -Set up crew - we have 12 picnic tables under the pavilion -Clean up crew - -Trash Removal - we must remove all of our trash. Someone with a truck would be greatly appreciated. -Extra coolers loaded with ice - it will be a long day -If anyone has 10 gallon water coolers that would help out too. We could make large containers of crystal lite or something along that line. Did I forget anything??? Let me know how you can help out. PLEASE let me know!!! Everyone will need to bring: - any snacks you may need for yourself and/or your family for lunch if you arrive early. -your own beverages - donations are welcome. Just so you know, alcohol is permitted in the pavilion area ONLY!!!! and the age requirement is 21!!!! Each person must take responsibility for themselves. -lawn chairs -donations to defray the expenses the pavilion cost was $200 paper products (plates, napkins, plastic ware, garbage bags etc.) meat - unless we decide that people bring what they would like to grill charcoal & foil -swim suits, sunscreen, and any water flotation objects -NO PETS ARE ALLOWED Fliers are coming.
