Good Morning from Baltimore!

Hey all - How's everybody? What's new? Anything exciting, interesting, sad, etc.????? I'm at work, trying to avoid doing my work, even though we don't leave for Ocean City until Saturday, I am already in vacation/margarita mode!!!!! Can't wait! Since I'm off on Friday, today is my Thursday, but boy, I think the next two days are gonna go SLOOOWWWW!! Anyway, again, to Terry, Mo, Karen - thanks for a great time on Sunday! To those who couldn't make it, we missed you and look forward to our get together in August (watch for more details). Hope everyone has a great day! I also posted the below on the main board - I just HAD to brag! Yesterday was the last day of school for my niece, Kaity , 10 and her brother, Brian, 6. They both came home with outstanding report cards and glowing comments from their teachers - Kaity got straight A's, and Brian got A's & B's! I couldn't be prouder of these children had I given birth to them, and as some of you know, it's almost like I did. These children are the loves and delights of my life, and I have been so blessed to be so involved with them. They are truly the best gifts my brother could've ever given our family. Also, I posted a month or so ago about Kaity's healthy eating program, (she was on her way to being a future WLS candidate). Thanks to her dedication and hard work, and my implementation of a healthy eating plan, I am so proud to say that Kaity has lost 13 pounds! WOO-HOO! We're leaving for Ocean City on Saturday, and I can't wait to spend the week with my family. Now that I'm 134 pounds lighter than I was last summer, I'll be screaming from the rides with them, instead of standing by wondering when we're gonna eat or when I can sit down!! What a difference! Teresa, I hope you have a GREAT time in OC! I will be heading down there for the last time heavy in July (may be the last time I have myself some Thrashers) lol NOT! But anyway I hope that you have a terrific time and wonderful beach weather. Throw your hands in the air and enjoy the rides girlfriend, you deserve it! Hey Deb! Thanks! I am SOOOO looking forward to going away, even if it is with my family (j/k!) They're the best, and my five favorite people in the world. Six, if you count Molly the Beagle - my furbaby! I had Thrasher's back in February, so I was about 6 mos. post-op, and they were great! Of course, I only ate about 6, when in the past, I could've eaten a medium by myself! Things just taste different now, and things I thought I couldn't live without before don't even bother me now. I will have crab cakes, broiled fish, shrimp, salad, etc., but I won't have to have Dumser's (LOVE it) every night - just a spoonful or 10 will do now! Men? What are they? I haven't been on a date in so long I'm not sure what to do! Although, it is Firemen's Week, so who knows?!!! I joke to my brother, who's also my best friend, that I'm going to get him a t-shirt that says, "Ask me about my single sister!!!" God, if it were only that easy!! Be on the lookout for a get-together in August - join us why don't you?! You have a great time at the beach, too!!!! Hugs, Teresa

Give my congrats to Kaity and Brian. You can tell just how proud of an Aunt you are. They are very blessed to have the love and support. My family is heading to O.C on 6/25. It's the highlight of every summer for the past 10 years. We stay at the same hotel, know all the locals, and just love O.C. I've been tempted to try the rides this year also. Just don't know if my back can handle the whipping around. Always have to consider the back. Take pics and share when you return. Have a great time, and I look forward to meeting you in August. Hey Traci - Thanks for your sweetness! Yes, I am such a proud aunt (actually, they call me Tia). Even when they make me crazy, which I believe is their job, I would die for them - and kill anyone who hurts them!!! OC is a blast, isn't it? We've gone every year since I can remember, and that's been at least 35 years. We know all the nooks and crannies, too, but don't always stay at the same place. As our family grows, we need more space, so this year, we're staying at the Lorelei II on 125th St. A little further north than we like, but cheaper than some and bigger than others (3 bdrms). I CAN'T WAIT!! It's a shame our weeks don't overlap, but I, too, look forward to seeing you in August. Careful on those rides!!! Have a great time!! Take care, Teresa
