Haven't lost a pound in a week!
Danielle, yes it is VERY normal....
I too lost weight very quickly then didn't lose a thing for over a week at about the 3 week mark....OMG did I panic...it isn't working for me, blah blah blah...you get the idea...
Your body has been through so much over the last few weeks....you have had major surgery, and now your body thinks you are starving it, which you are...it is trying its hardest to hold on to something.....
I am now over 2 years out, down 135 lbs to my goal....
I tell everyone the same piece of advice...enjoy the ride...it is incredibly fun and I have never had a ride like it and probably never will....
Keep walking, drink your fluid, get in as much protein as you can (comfortable), take your vitamins and be good to yourself!!
Enjoy,
RAE
Hi Buddy!!
I haven't heard from you all week Missy!! Shame - Shame!
I hit the same pleatu at the same time. I was so bummed - I went into my 4 week appointment having only lost 4lbs from my two week appointment. BUMMER! Started crying right there on the spot. My NUT and Surgeon reassured me over and over. They told me that the weight loss from this surgery is like a stair case. You lose and then stay - lose - stay etc.... Three week mark is most typical for our first pleatu because our body has gone into starvation mode.
My nut got on me big time for not eating enough! HAHAHA I was only consuming 400-500 calories at most a day, she told me I HAD to up it to more like 800-900 minimum. I took her advice this week and have been eating between 750-900 a day - and I've already lost 5lbs this week. She also reminded me to drink a ton of water - and it is helping - a LOT. As you know, I work out a lot too so I'm sure that's helping as well. I k now you're not eating much maybe you need to add calories too?
Hi Daniele,
We missed you on Sunday! At least I thought you were coming. Anyway, what you are experiencing is totally normal. I've had mini-plateaus all the way through. I would lose really good two weeks out of the month and the third week I'd kinda of waver and the fourth week forget it.
Try not to obsess about it. Stick with the program and it'll come off.
Take Care,
Terry
