Help!

Hi everyone. I need help. I had WLS 2 weeks ago and all of a sudden I am having a lot of pain in my left side. It's lower then the incisions. Has anyone else had this and should I be worried? Thanks Danielle

Honey, we're twins! I haven't gotten an email from you this week... I'm glad to see you're alive!! I have gone into and called my surgeon a million times about my left side being in pain. I told them each time that it felt like I had pulled a muscle and it was getting worse. Each time they reassured me that this was very common yada yada. Well this weekend I almost went to the emergancy room because it was scaring me. The surgeon on call (Lead Bariatric Surgeon in MD) called and comforted me. He said that although the "outside incisions" were healed - there were many internal ones that were not and the location (left side) I had described was just that. Are you feeling nauseas with it? If so, then I would call your surgeon. Of course, I would call the surgeon regardless.

I'm retarded - I forgot we had the same surgeon! hahaha Dr. Averbach was out of town so Dr. Singh was the one that called me Friday night. Cathy was getting annoyed with how concerend I was so she had him call me. Are you going to support group Wednesday night? I'd love to meet you!!

Hey, I sent you an email too. Thanks so much for getting back to me. I don't want to be a burden on the doctor. I know that sounds silly. What time is the meeting on Wednesday? I really think I should go. I haven't been to one yet, since I can't drive yet. If this pain don't go away, I'm gonna scream. Could it be gas??? grrrr.....

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go on Wednesday! I'd LOOOOVE to finally meet you!! Also, as I just posted... I don't want to be a "loner". hahaha We're so close in surgery dates - we're WLS Buddies.... let's go to our meeting together!! hahaha I think your gas is probably gone by now. I really think it's probably the same thing I had which was internal healing. The first thing Cathy asked me the first time I told her what I was feeling was "Is it on your left side under your incisions".... that was it for me.
