Any post op's of Dr Schweitzer.....
Hi Kimberly. I'm currently pre-op also and seeing Dr Schweitzer. Just had my initial consult on May 22nd. He told me no pre-op diet, which was something I specifically asked. He said it really isn't shown to be beneficial and may be detrimental since you are would be nutritionally deprived already when you go into WLS. Made sense. Do you have a surgery date?
I don't have a date yet. I'm 4 months into my doctor supervised diet (for the second time). Once I finish the diet Debbie will submit all my stuff to insurance. I've had my physical but I"ll have to get bloodwork done again before surgery. I'm doing my diet. I had a sleep study, which Dr S didn't require of my but my PCP wanted me to have. That was fine. I submitted my letter of medical necessity to Dr S's office. I'll be calling Monday to make the appt for my psych evel and to meet his nutritionalist.
Have you done your psych eval yet? If you have, did you go to the person he recommends? How was it?
