I'm Approved Finally and Date is scheduled

I have waited so long to finally get to this point of this journey. I decided in dec 2004 to research this and jan 2005 talked to my pcp and she was all aboard with it. My ins was cigna at the time. I met with a doctor in march 2005 and wanted to look somemore. Sept 2005 i meet Dr Thomas Magnuson and instantly new he would be the one to cut me open and start me on this new journey of life. My ins company constantly gave me the run around. In April 2006 my husbands work changed our insurance to United Health care and They recieved my paperwork April 28th 2006. Today May 24th 2006 My insured approved me and My surgeon's secretary called to schedule my date. July 10th 2006 I will be having Gastric bypass surgery. Words cannot describe the feelings I have right now. Heres to a journey of letting that slim healthy person out of this body and beggining a life filled with happiness and hopefully starting my family with my husband. I got my date to day also-- I am scheduled for JULY 11, 2006. WOO - HOO!!

CONGRATS! Your having surgery on my 30th bday, that has to be lucky, right? lol I wish you a wonderful, uneventful surgery. You will do great!

Yaayyy Kelly, I am so happy for you. I have my first consult on June 7th, so I am hoping it won't take me too long after that to get everything together. I hope I will be joining you on the losing side, not long after you. I will pray everything goes normal with your surgery Kymme
