Work out routine?
What is your work out routine? Do you work out? How many days a week? What do you do?
I'm only 10 days post op so I don't have a "ROUTINE" in place yet, however, I've been doing the treadmill 3-4 miles a day on a low incline and I ride my bike a few miles daily. I really need to join a gym to get in the weights before it's too late. advice?

Hey Megan,
Your doing a great job, keep up the good work. I like to do dumbells, they tone the arms really well. You don't HAVE to have a gym membership, but if you want to I think theres a Ballys and a Gold's in your neighborhood. You won't be too shy for long girl, you are doing wonderful! I have a Bally's membership and I don't have any problems going there and feeling "funny". It all depends on you really, my Mom won't be caught dead in a co-ed gym. They have some great protien shakes there...you can ask for a samply and be full lol haha

I walk 3 miles a day every single day. I also do 15 minutes on an elliptical (that's all I can handle) every other day. The opposing days I do The Biggest Loser workout on DVD and only the warm-up and low impact. I also do a small workout with hand weights for the arm flaps. I can't afford a gym so I do what I can on my own.
