looking for friends and workout buddies

Hello All, I use to post on this board before I had my surgery now that I am a post op I have been posting on my April board I was just wanting to meet some people here in maryland to maybe do lunches or shopping or movies just to hang out I have been here for 2 years and still hard to meet friends and I have made my 2nd bedroom a gym I have a eliptical and will have a weight training set in june to add and was wondering if anyone in the baltimore area I am in Windsormill, close to security would like to get to know each other and workout together and become friends male or female I am just looking for good people to be friends and work out with to help with motivation...... hugs and love lisa

Hi lisa-- my name is tina-- I live in college park, md- right up 295- i am going to be having surgeryin sinai hospital some time in june( i am self pay- so i dont have to wait for insurance approval-- i am in the middle of keeping all my other appointments like my sleep study and psyhc exam- these will all be done soon)-- i am originally from baltimore--- ironically i was born in sinai hospital in 1966 (:-- I too have a home gym in my basement with an eliptical- ab crunch machine- punching bag w/ boxing gloves- back extendert and weight bench- and a set of free weights - i also have several bikes and jump ropes and of course billy banks tapes --- i am in good cardio vascular and muscular condition- my endurance and stamina and strengh is high- i am a very muscular 272 pounds-- but i am only 5-5-- i am getting the lap band surgery because although i am disciplined in exercising- but my bad eating habits defeat me every time-- i am getting the lapband because i need a tool to help me with my eating- I would love to hook up periodically --when i go into the hospital i will let you know --keep in touch

Hi Tina, Thanks for the reply and that would be awesome to hook up once in awhile, good luck with the surgery and I look forward to following your journey with you, I had laparascopic gastric bypass april 7th and am down 30 pds now I just am getting ready to start my working out I have got the go ahead so I am excited I know the weight will come off quicker now.........I will keep you in my prayers and yes please contact me when you go in the hospital I will email you and give you my phone number. best wishes hugs and love lisa

Hi Nadine, That is right up the street almost for me lol this is so wonderful to meet new people I have had such a hard time meeting people since I have been here when you are big people treat you so different, but I knew if I came here I would find new friendships thank you and god bless I will email you my number and maybe we can get together sometime hugs lisa
