I've heard the same thing. When was your surgery? Mine was May 13th. I have lost 82 pounds and have about another 27 to go to their weight for me. I have slowed down since Christmas though. I have also been more active since Christmas exercising close to 60 minutes a day. I also signed up for an exercise class.
I am 8 months post surgery and have read numerous articles that suggest around the 1 to 1.5 year mark patients can expect weight gain. Has anyone experienced this? If so, how much did you gain back? Was it difficult to stop the "re-gain train"? What strategies did you use to deal with the regain?
I am concerned about regain and would like to have some tools in place ahead of time to deal with it, should it happen.
I don't find they have much flavour, really. They're crunchy if you eat them right away after you put them in something (ie, Greek yogurt). That's the only way I've ever tried them. I bought two containers at Costco and never remember I have them! I like hemp seeds. They also sell those at Costco. They're fairly high in protein and also have Omega 3 & 6. They taste quite good and are also crunchy. I do the same things with those -- put them in my Greek yogurt.

I have heard lots of good things about chia seeds (for consumption not for the pets) I know they are very high in Omega 3 and 6. Does anyone take them? Are they flavourful?
Ok, that's good to know at least. Henderson isn't very far from me. Thanks.
Hey Jessica, how is your weight loss coming along? I had y surgery about 3 weeks before you.
I had my surgery june 3rd. From my referral date feb 2011 I am down about 90 pounds. I had lost 25 before my initial visit with the clinic and continued to lose up until surgery.
Thank you for the words of encouragement. :)
