Hey all, just wondering what everyone does for workouts / exercise?
do you go to the gym? workout at home?
Thanks!
I'm from Manitoba too and have orientation July 2016. I requested to be added a while ago and haven't heard back
I am looking for some answers for my sister. She had gastric bypass surgery 10 years ago. Since February of this year she's been in the hospital three times. She was vomiting and had diarrhea and had pain in her abdomen which is what brought her to the hospital. Her bypass doctor did an emergency surgery where he removed 15 cm of what he called that overflow... He said it was supposed to be 1 inch. He also remove scar tissue you from her tummy tuck and disconnected the bowel and the stomach that had fused together. She went home three days after but then a week later ended up back in the hospital with extreme pain in her left side. welder in that hospital stay they did an exploratory surgery and the bypass doctor said his work was fine and he kind of washed his hands of her. She then had a long doctor drained her lungs twice of fluid they also said they found some ulcers at the surgery site. She eventually went home and a week after getting home and having more extreme pain took a test for C diff which came back positive. She ended up back in the hospital again this time they did an upper and lower G.I. The results came back negative. They send her home and now she is at home with the distended belly extreme pain and no one can find anything... I'm hoping if I reach out here maybe somebody else might have a suggestions as to what it could be or different ways we can look into what it is and how to heal her. Two months ago she was up and around just unable to digest her food. Now she is laying in a bed or using a wheelchair and has very little energy to even sit up for very long. Any help?
Thank you so much! I will see if I can find it!

You are likely at least two years to orientation and then a further 6 months to a year to surgery. There are lots of us from MB on face book ..... the admin of that page is Karen Hume Erickson....if you would like to join us there lots of info from those waiting and post op.
My physician called me this morning to let me know that I was accepted into the bariatric program. I was wondering if anyone can tell me about how long I can expect to wait until they contact me directly?
I was referred about 2 months ago.
I am SO nervous!
Hi there, I am new to this site, I have a lot of questions, how do I get in the facebook group?
Hi Emily
Sorry I don't go on here very much anymore.
My Dr was Dr Islur out of the St Boniface Hopsital/Maples Surgergical Clinic. He is an awesome Dr and is really good at what he does.
A fluer de lise is A cut from the middle of your breast down to above the pubic bone and then a cute across your tummy so it looks like an upside down anchor. I believe you get your best TT that way. It tightens up some of that skin around your back.
Good luck Lorna
