Its amusing to me your surgery date is my birthday - that would be nice I am trying to keep positive. I am afraid to get hopeful - I don't know why though, they figured my iron wasn't where it needed to be because (even though it was a positive thing****pt my scheduled appointment to donate blood without thinking - which will drop your iron levels. I suppose its easier to believe it wont happen then be let down again.
I just got my surgery date. It is for Oct 12. If you are looking for someone to talk to or possibly keep motivated with just let me know.

I have had orientation in April and gone through 2 personal appointments - just had blood work redone today - keeping fingers crossed my iron level is finally up where it needs to be - to move on to meeting the surgeon, anesthetist, and start pre-op/post op diet teaching its beginning to feel like I will never make it to the next step.

Once assigned into the program would something like FitBit tracking info and/or online diet tracking sites giving nutritionists online access to details meet requirements of the program?

Hi my name is Gail Speiss and I would like to get added to the Manitoba support group, I tried your email and the emails failed and looked you up on Facebook and unless we are friends it won't let me msg you so if you could please help I would really like to be added to a local group - with people who are going through or have gone through the same system
I was sleeved Feb 2012. Started off around 333 lbs. Got down to 155 lbs but bounced back up to 165 lbs where my body seemed to have been happy there.
Got pregnant in 2014, and gained back 70 lbs. It took me almost 2 years to get back on track.
But just wanted to let the newbies know that this far out, I don't regret for even 1 second having this surgery. I don't think I could have ever done it on my own from the start.
Now I have about 30ish lbs to get back to 165 which is my goal. I'd like to get back there by February 2017 as it will be 5 years since I'm sleeved and want to make the Bariatric team proud that I have been successful at this even at 5 years! :)
I currently workout at home and following a meal plan, and I'm loving the results! I'm almost 40 years old and have never felt this great in all my life! Even if you have fallen off the wagon, know that it is possible to get back on and get your life back! :)
I have already had orientation and am waiting to hear when my surgery date will be. I live just outside of Winnipeg. I am very interested in getting to know others that are also going through this process. Possibly we can modivate eachother.
