Congratulations on making your decision. I had Dr Ponce and Barb is right you are in excellent hands.
Program at the Victoria wants you to use Boost Diabetic for the pre op part
These are on sale right now at Rexall- I am wondering if these are good for your pre-op when they tell you to drink a protein drink 3 times a day.
CONGRATULATIONS. I went to Tijuana for my surgery. Best thing I ever did for myself. You are in good hands Dr. Ponce is awesome.
Hey to all...really scared, really excited...back and forth. I spoke to Trish(INT Office Manager)...I believe I am heading Tijuana for July 14, 2014. OMG...Need lots of reassurance???taking my cousin as a companion.
You are doing great! I hope everything goes well for you and you get your appointments soon. My BMI at referral was 57I was down to 300 lbs the morning of surgery and my BMI 5 months after surgery is 37.9! It was a long road but well worth it...
Karen
I have been losing weight on my own for the past 5 years. My heaviest was 479 and back last fall I was down to 374. I wanted to get my current weight and I assumed I may of gained or hardly lost any weight at all. As I got weighed I saw 358.1, I couldn't believe it so I weighed myself again, same 358.1. I had an appointment to see my dietician at my Endocrinologist office, she is also the dietician for the Bariatric clinic at Vic. She recalculated my BMI and I officially met the criteria of 55 and under. My BMI was 54! I was working hard to get it down from 60 a few years ago. I mailed my questionnaire but I have not heard back in regards to my first set appointments. I called them yesterday but left a message. I told the dietician about my concern of it getting there in time, She said she was going to check. I mailed it about a week after the seminar. I didn't want to take handi-transit all the way from the Seven Oaks area to Vic. I just hope the clinic received it.
