I know how you feel,my bmi is 60 and have other issues hope they we I'll accept me they told me I have to loose weight, don' t I know that I think they like to play god. Hope mexico goes well for you.
Sondra wandering if you my have a answer for me. Who makes the decision if the surgery is a go? Is it the board at the Vic or the surgeon?

The waiting list is far too long. My BMI is just under what they will accept. It has been steadily climbing for 2 years of yo yo dieting. I have underlying conditions as a result of my weight yet they want me to gain more before they are willing to help. So..to hell with them. I want to start lessening the pain I am, and reducing the risk of diabetes now..not 3 years from now...Thats pretty much why I am choosing Mexico over Manitoba.
Well who knows we will possibly visit each other in Tijuana! I will be staying at the Marriott...going with another gal from Wpg as well. See you There!!
Wow....I just booked mine as well! I am going on the 19th of May with Dr.Ponce De Leon in Tiajuana. I am so nervous and excited all at the same time. Good Luck Cindy. I am also looking forward to this new chapter.

I'm sure you will be glad you made this choice. I also had surgery in Tijuana, Mexico and had an excellent experience. (different surgeon).

Well, I did it...All my ducks are in a row, and am on my way to mexico on the 18th of May. I will be having the vertical sleeve done by Dr. Ramirez, through Mexico Bariatric Center. I am nervous, but in a good way. Really looking forward to this new chapter in my life.

I agree not the lap band I just had mine out. Give the Vic a try the time goes by fast if you qualify.
