My mother is 70 years old, just had a tummy tuck but for massive hernia repair problems, unrelated to weight, with Dr. zeissman, he is very good and knows what he is doing.
Let me start by saying I am PRE OP so take my advice with a tablespoon of salt.
I would recommend that you put off house wor****il you can have "recreational activities" without side effects Then start back on house work slowly

thank you so much for your responses!
I ate about 700 calories today and felt extremely guilty :( But its just in my head.
Enjoy your day!
i was going to say that I only took 2 weeks after gallbladder surgery and looking back I wish I had stayed home one more week. I work in a school and pick up a student work with them for 20 min, then get another etc and I was very tired. Of course whether you have young children etc to look after will affect your recovery time as well. I have a special needs child so I wasn't able to lay down after work or whenever and it was after supper before I could relax. I plan to take the 4 weeks when I have WLS surgery. The nurse mentioned at orientation that you need this time not only to heal but to learn to get your fluids and supplements etc in.
Hi!
I'm only going to comment on the work question. I took 3 weeks off & wish I'd taken 4. I also have a desk job, but no crawling around inspecting floors! You can expect to be tired. If you can get 4 weeks or more, I'd take it.
