I am planning on coming and I think my cousin is coming as well. She and I were at the same orientation session earlier this month.

Topic: Meet and Greet Sat
There is a meet and greet Saturday, April 27th at the Fort Garry Library that Is open to everyone, whether you have had your surgery already, or are waiting and want to connect with others that have gone through it already. The Fort Garry Library is on the east side of Pembina at 1360 PEMBINA, which is near McGillvary. There is a police station and Holiday Inn South on the north side and Cottage Bakery on the South side of it.. It is in between the 2 . The is parking in the back along the east fence along the back lane closer to Holiday Inn if you can't find parking in front or behind the library itself. We should be there from 1:30 to around 3:30. Everyone is welcome. We get together to swap stories, recipes, and clothes and just have fun meeting others that have had surgery and have questions or want to,share their experiences.
Everyone is in different sizes now so Bring your larger clothes that no longer fit and hopefully you will be able to pick up new smaller ones to swap to take home. Bring bags to take them home in. Bring your own coffee or beverage as there isn't a kitchen to make any. The more that show, the more selection of clothing and we need some new people to come to help the selection grow as most of us have already brought most of our larger clothes to earlier meets and are getting into smaller sizes now. Hope to see more of you there...I know there are a lot of lurkers out there!!! Barb C.

Topic: Hormones after gastric bypass.
I'm 8 months post op and just wondering if anyone else has experienced more symptoms with their periods? I never used to have sore breasts or feeling exhausted during my period, but the last two periods I've had have been with many more symptoms. Now I'm ovulating and I'm having strong cramps and sore breasts. I've never had these issues. I'm thinking that due to the weight loss maybe my hormones are more intense? I know TMI but I can't find much info on the internet on hormones and RNY. Any info is much appreciated.
Thanks!
