Topic: RE: Meet and Greets

Rats, I was hoping that we could at least do a coffee after the Vic info seminar on "Plastics" on June 5.  Both me and my daughter have appts that day so I was really hoping to meet with everyone for a little discussion and catch up after.

Is anyone at least interested in meeting at somewhere like Smitty's to talk about the plastics and share with our "Mexican" friends.  I was referred to plastics at my appt last week and am curious about the whole process.

. Surgery date OCTOBER 16th

Just to let everyone know, the Fort Garry Library is closing until Fall. They are not sure when they will re-open..could be September, or could be November..they could not give me any idea of when?? So no new meet and greet dates are scheduled. There was not a great turnout anyways on Saturday, so my thoughts are, with summer coming and people going away for the weekends, we are not likely to have many people show up for them anyways..maybe we should just put off having another one until fall again. What do you think?? If you do want to have another meet and greet over summer, then we will have to do a survey as to which days are most popular so people can attend and then find a (free) location to have it. The Keewatin library is only available certiain times/ days, so we are limited to going back there. DOES ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW OF A FREE LOCATION AND WOULD BE WILLING TO DO THE SURVEY AND TO TAKE CARE OF BOOKING A PLACE...??

You mention complications that your friends experienced. What kinds of complications? How far post op were they? What happened to them? Who were their surgeons? Where did their surgeries take place? Good luck on your surgery date!

I can remember buying them at Marketplace (Coop) last summer. Hopefully they are still there!

Walmart and Safeway had them. You might have to wait for the weather to warm up for them to start carrying them again.
