I finished my first 5K race today and I can't believe I did it. It took me 44 mins; it was super windy today and the first 3K were into the wind across an airfield and down a hangar line. I almost gave up but I dug in and did it. Less than a year ago at 120 lbs heavier I only dreamt of ever being able to do something like this. I love my sleeve and I love the fact that I can now participate in life. I only wish I had this done years ago.
Sorry for the big picture - I don't know how to make it smaller.
Sounds good. I will try to make it to the coffee meeting after the meeting at the vic too. We should get together for coffee on the 18th. Give me a call when you get to town.
hey barb, I feel your pain, I've been struggling as well. The only thing keeping me going is the amount of gardening I'm doing. I am still doing MFP and still keeping it honest but my numbers are the pits. Try and think back to where you were 124 lbs ago and how sad and desparate that person was and how far you have come. There is an info session on June 19 and we are getting together after for coffee and company. I'm sure we will be getting together somewhere near the Vic on Pemina. On a personal note, I will be coming in on the 18th and will hopefully be in Selkirk around 2 and we could meet for a coffee and a chat since we missed last time.
Glad to see you are going home. Off for the summer. Thats awesome, I hope you are able to enjoy it. Hope you can be at the next meet and greet when ever that is. Barb
I have not been looking after myself for a couple of months now. I miss taking my vitamins, have not used my fitness pal, and I have not been eating properly. I really need to get back on track. When is the next meet and greet, I really miss everyone. Maybe seeing some others that are doing things properly will give me a kick start. Barb.
As far as I know the staples are safe for MRI machines etc. I had mine done in Mexico too, and the people at the San diego airport checked my medications etc. I told them before the metal detector that I had staples in my stomach. They didn't bother me after that. Mine are made of Titanium too.
Just wondering what brands of chewable multivitamins people are using and where they are purchasing them?
Also, what Calcium and Vit.D. supplements are people using and again where are you buying them?
There seems to be so many different types out on the market now. Thanks for any info anyone can offer. I like in Winnipeg.
WooHoo going home and hopefully on the mend. Take it easy and let your family take care of you! Hope to see you out at the meeting in June.
