Barb, do you do My Fitness Pal? it's a super good way to keep track of what you are doing with your food, calories, protein, exercise, etc. A few of us are friends on there and have access to each other's menus (if you allow on the privacy setting)
I find it is a great way to keep myself in line. If I bite it, I write it. period. This might help you get ideas on what others are doing and meal ideas. I'm not sure what DS patients are supposed to have so i can't comment on you day, but I'm glad you are back in the saddle, keep on owning it!

Tesha/Lorna, I know a good plastic surgeon in Wpg. Dr. Murray, both my nephew and I had him for carpal tunnel surgery. I had to wait longer than if I went with another surgeon because I insisted on him. (he is crazy busy) also Trish just had her tummy tuck done : we can find out her surgeon too. The world according to eggface website , she also recomends her surgeons, I think she went to Mexico too.
@ Newfie, Let us know when the next meeting is and I am definately in for coffee.
I need to start looking at plastics to just to see what will get covered here in MB if anything. I just don't know what plastic surgeon would be best suited to go to - one that has experience in this area and how the MB system works or how to work the system to best advantage for Bariatric patients.
So if you guys have names I would really appreciate any info you can pass along. I am meeting with my Dr at the end of Jun and wanted to get a referral from her at that time.
Thanks Lorna

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again! I have been struggling at times as well...
The one thing you should ALWAYS do is take your vitamins... With the ds you have way more malabsorbtion and this is something that could seriously make you ill with dire consquences.... Please Please Please take your vitamins....
Sorry for the nag... it's the nurse in me.

Way to go! Congratulations! You are an inspiration!
I found Quest multivitimins at Walmart, they are chewable. I get my calcium citrate from Costco (ask at pharmacy for them) and they aren't flavoured to be chewable, but I chew mine with a vitamin c chewable so It's not so bad. I keep my eye on prices between Costco and Walmart.
