Approved

I got the call from my gp's office today that I've been approved for surgery. I asked for the referral a month ago so I'm very excited! 

Now what? I know it can take up to two years before I get there. Do they evaluate you and decide which is best (vsg or rny) or do I get to choose? How does this all work?

The decision is your's as far as I know but should be made in conjunction with your surgeon and after researching your options. Its good to speak with those who have 'been there done that' about the pros and cons and what to expect and do.

govtgirl is organizing a coffee get together on March 5th and there is a Meet and Greet on March 8th. Either one or both would be good to attend.
